5.0 out of 5 stars Rock the Planet 1980's style., 24 July 2014
This review is from: Crazy Crazy Nights (Audio CD)
Planet Rocks okay from the 80's hair days, though most 80's rock fans have most or at least half of these songs all ready originally or on another combo. This is a good selection from those days, but from this 2x CD set there are only about five tracks I haven't got and not worried about having them. This would be a waste of valuable cost on my part, though for other fans than haven't a copy of these tracks it is a good starting combo for the car stereo.

Heather Nova should be on more lips than there is. As a talented singer songwriter I just wonder why more people don't listen to her albums. She has released a number of albums and live sets and deserves to be a mega starlet. Heather Nova's tracks are written from the heart and more so on this album. It was done after she revisited her old home a boat named MOON and sadly sunk under after it was left to rot. Though a kind fisherman near by after hearing it was once her home, dove down and found the boats compass. Later after thinking of her memories of the times on the then family boat, Heather penned these tracks, memoirs in song and the return of a family united by a simple object of a compass, igniting the fire to fuel a wonderful crafted album. Heather has come full circle with this material of life's journey's and it should be retitled as 360 Degree's at Sea to encompass all of its super melodies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trash Can Alley or Recyclable Rubbish?, 11 July 2014
A class DVD of trash and rubbish video's - NOT. Well worth seeing and watching. If you have a VHS copy of the original first album singles video's, you can store it away as a keepsake. All the tracks are here and through the bands career to this point. A wonderful DVD to sit and enjoy as a band retrospective over the years.

A lot of fans have put this album down after the first or second listen and claimed it a let down. All I can say to them is get it back on the spindle a put on repeat, as it is an album us real music fans call a grower. The tracks may not hit you in the face at first like the early albums, but Anastacia HAS moved on from then and if you keep repeating the CD, songs will emerge into beautiful tunes. So give it time and you will enjoy at least 1/3 of the album after a few more listens as the album title proclaims, Heavy Rotation is need to enjoyed the true value of the songs on this disk.

A great album from Vincent Furnier aka Alice Cooper from the mid 70's, sadly after the split with the Alice Cooper Band mates, Smith, Dunaway, Bruce and Buxton. this is a more commercial Coop album filled with great tracks and this DVD is an insight to those rock bygone days. A must buy for any Alice fans now and back then.

King of 9 Pin Bowling, not a bad app and good graphics for a touch screen mobile. A bit of fun play during a dull moment.

for a Greatest Hits album, there was a lot left off it to fill it CD to the max. All in all, a superb artist, singer songwriter that is Melissa Etheridge. If this is a road less travelled, then do a U-turn at the next junction and come back again, and repeat this for all the great songs on this CD.

After missing Skye Edwards vocals with Morcheeba this album gets five stars for only one reason. Since 1979 English born smooth voice AOR singing lass Judie (Judy misspelling on this album) Tzuke features on the lead of 1st single "Enjoy the Ride" and another track. Judie's silky gentle vocals puts the stamp of perfection on this otherwise middle of the road album.

Skye: Keeping Secrets
Skye: Keeping Secrets

5.0 out of 5 stars A world best kept secret, but why for a Skye's the limit voice box., 8 July 2014
This review is from: Skye: Keeping Secrets (Audio CD)
Morcheeba died the day Skye Edwards moved on, but for some reason her vocal smooth talent followers didn't relocate with her. Mrs Edwards solo career should have been a massive heart attack waiting to happen. Yet for some great unknowing her fans strode on with the vocal line up changes within Morcheeba, with only the single with the wonderful Judie Tzuke ever hitting on a equal smooth chill out vocal tracks (but I could be a bit biased as a 1979 fan of JT, just listen to her live album Road Noise) from her own solo career with songs like Stay with me till dawn, City of swimming pools and For you. Anyway, if you liked Skye Edwards voice check out her three solo albums and the return to the Morcheeba ranks was a welcome back to once a great band.
