5.0 out of 5 stars Ascension Day Cantatas, 14 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Absolutely superb work - both the cantatas themselves as well as the interpretation by Gardiner and the performance - although a live recording, there are no blips or background noise. I have experienced Himmelfahrt many times in the last few weeks both on the way there and the anticlimax of coming back down to earth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book I have read on role development for HR Managers, 4 Aug. 2001
This book is essential reading for HR Managers who want to develop a proactive (even strategic) approach to their role/function(and anyone interested in moving in to the field)
Highly practical and with practical examples/anecdotes it presents a critical analysis of contemporary Personnel/Human Resources management in the UK, what individuals working in the field have to do to make added value business contribution. There is no jargon here.It should be read by all in the personnel profession.Readers will gain as much from this as many courses on "HR Strategy" but at a fraction of the price. If I could get to meet the author I think I would use him as a personal coach.
