5.0 out of 5 stars Great & true to the comics, 2 Dec 2008
This review is from: Hulk [DVD] [2003] (DVD)
Much deeper story telling then most comic hero movies. Not action all the way, but a deeper feeling to Hulk's emotions. Once the action does come, it's brilliantly choreographed with great suspense and effect. Highly recommended to those who enjoyed the comics. Much better then most hero movies, and definitely deserves more credit then it unfairly got on release.

5.0 out of 5 stars Techno 4 the mind body and soul, 2 Nov 2008
After the excellent but underrated The Narcissist album, which put the soul & thoughtfulness back into techno. A album that is appreciated more & more with each listen as the minimal soul/funk Detroit techno starts to work it's magic on the mind, body, and soul - This new album picks up from 'The Narcissist' but adds even more advanced sounds and tingly tech-jazz. Aimed more for the thoughtful side of techno, though, still keeping that classic deep space funk from Kenny's previous classics Azimuth & Metaphor albums. A album that's sure to become a electronic classic in a few years (Just as The Narcissist will!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Skilled Action Non Stop !, 14 Jun 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

Bloody, violent, fast, gory...Ninja martial arts game at lighting speed.

Be Warned! Skill is required for this game. You can set the game to an easier setting but you will not get the rewards given with skill and timing set on normal & above level - and the satisfaction received for using the skill gained when played on normal/above level.

Graphics are good to very good to excellent...Though some backgrounds can be a bit bland there still decent for a next gen system. While the background graphics may not be the best for the 360 it does have great-cool particle effects: splashes of enemy blood, lighting, magic..etc!, all at a smooth 60fps. Amazing to watch with plenty of characters onscreen & effects being thrown around during fights eg: enemy body parts flying off, magic effects, fighting weapon particle effects, splatters of blood that remain on walls, ceiling and floor as do enemy limbs - it can be quiet amazing to watch the game in action.

If you want a game thats tense action all the way, that also requires skill - this will be for you!...But remember it's very bloody and gory!!!, so not for the faint hearted.

Much better then Devil May Cry 4.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but less impressive, 22 Mar 2007

This review is from: Call of Duty 3 (PS3) (Video Game)
A great no-brainer fps. Nice graphics; but compared to 360 version the PS3 textures look less detailed + the framerate does seem to slowdown on occasion...If you have a 360 & PS3m i would choose the 360 version - just looks, plays better & cheaper too!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but seen all before, 21 Mar 2007

If you enjoyed Call Of Duty you'll enjoy this; but has aliens instead of Nazi's to battle against. Typical fps shooter, mainly if not all on on rails, with the odd tank crappy driving section & odd boss battle. The games has some good moments with nice graphics - though if you played Call Of Duty you'll have seen this stuff before - not on par with 360's Gears Of War or Half-Life 2 (both in graphics & gameplay). The weapons are a interesting mix, but again nothing to get excited if played Perfect Dark, or Half Life, Halo, Metroid.

This is probably PS3 2nd game (inc Motorstorm)to take fuller advantage of PS3 hardware, as it was in development for 2+ years(Remember the PS3 was delayed to manufacturing parts; this delaying the release of PS3 by 9+ months, though this did not effect game developers as they already had full working PS3's and development kits giving them extra time to get more out the PS3)...it does have great moments, but like before nothimg compared to Gears Of War, Ghost Reacon 2, Half Life 2. If you want an enjoyable shoot em-up, go for it but if you have a 360 or Pc there's better.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is Deephouse with Soul, 9 Feb 2007
This review is from: Fish & Luvconfushun (Audio CD)
Man, this is a beautiful album of deep proportions. A must have for all collectors and lovers of deep-house, soulful techno, and music full of lush grooves with a feeling of warmth. Rhythms play with beautiful sublime melodies and plenty of electronic emotion that is always a delight to hear. If picking this up! make sure to purchase the cd version due to extra quality tracks included. A excellent album by a excellent artist who continues to forge ahead with pure sublime beautiful music aimed for the soul.

Also recommended Chris Gray's 2nd album release 'Emotional Distortion' for more brilliant instrumental deep-techno-house music. Also his excellent Deep4Life label.

Dan Curtin is probably one of the finest techno producers around. An absolute must-have for anyone into electronic music esp those who enjoy deeper Detroit techno. Warm rhythms with synths, futuristic sounds and fantastic drum programming all giving it that lush techno sound similar to Carl Craig and the brilliant Vince Watson.

Also check his classic 'The Silicon Dawn' album. A album that should have been part of Warp's A.I series alongside B12, The Black Dog, Speedy J, Richard H Kirk.

This review is from: 4th Floor (Audio CD)
Jonas Grossman aka as one-half of the excellent 'Deep Space Network' and part of 'Conjoint' brings his 1st solo album on Move D's Source-records label. A splendid mix of lush techno-ambient-eletronica blended with 70's influenced downtempo but futuristic funk. This is probably one of the finest in the field of funk lush techno albums recently released...A must for all those who enjoyed great albums by/from: Emit Ecaps, Double Fine Zone, Pete Namlook & Hubertus Held, It's Tomorrow Already,

A must for chill-out fans. Without that bandwagon commercial influence associated with 'chill-out' albums sold in your local HMV/Virgin stores, this might sadly get ignored by people looking for quality chill music...Excellent moody yet thoughtful fusion of dub, techno/electro, electronica/Idm and ambient.

Sandspider are probably one of the finest in chill/downtempo music scene...Be sure to check all there albums - all of quality listening!
