I thoroughly enjoyed War Horse, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on this, although enjoying this book I thought that it seemed a bit short, I read it within a day. Saying this I did like the fact you learn more of the type of character Albert was after the war, and how his influences with Joey were passed down through his family. If you can find this book cheaper I would recommend reading it, but don't get your hopes up for an amazing finish to the story of War Horse.
I loved watching the play, and then reading the book made the whole visual experience mix with the descriptive experience of the book, I recommend the book AND play, but on its own it is a very good story for Teens, but if I were an adult I would have thought it was lacking meaty story parts, but for me it was a great experience, I have just bought "Farm Boy" which is the sequel because I just cant get enough of it, the characters of this book seem so real and I think the perspective of the horse worked extremely well, I was at first skeptical about what to think of it being from the horses POV, but I think Morpugo pulled it off very well.
I have had this for about two days now and it has lived up to what I thought it would be. There are good and bad sides to the device...
GOOD POINTS It is easy to setup from taking out of the box The interface is very simple to understand Does a range of useful things... E.g. Mini HDMI port allows films to be played on a HD TV
BAD POINTS The Android keyboard can sometimes be unresponsive Can be slow at times... But it is only an internet tablet Webcam is very bad quality
If you are just looking for something to check emails with or to read ebooks with then this is perfect
This headset has a whole load of problems... 1. Extremely uncomfortable, cannot wear for over 20 mins... 2. Microphone is very bad quality and is quiet 3. The 'fold away' parts are far to flimsy so it just falls off your head 4. The adjustable head band does not click into place, therefore you have to adjust it each time you put it on. There is only one good point, and that is that the earphones work. Terrible purchase I am soon going to return it.
