5.0 out of 5 stars Strong small umbrella, 11 Oct 2011
Good strong and smallish umbrella, slightly heavier than normal compact umbrellas but that because its solid and well built, still easy to carry in my bag

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but delivered damaged, 26 Sep 2011
This review is from: Fulton Huntsman Umbrella (Apparel)
Its a good solid umbrella one that I should be happy with, however it arrived with a chipped handle and when I opened it out fully one of the internal spokes was already broken. I live abroad so can't be bothered to return it but might risk buying another one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wrong design for Finland, 28 Nov 2010
They would be good if they worked. In Finland there are two metal spring clips that fit down the sides of the plug, but when you put a UK plug in there it blocks it. Yeah you can make it work but forcing it in the plug but you'll break the clips and will need to call in an electrician to fix it. Avoid these plugs of you have this type of socket type F used commonly in Germany and Finland.

NEWSPEAK in the 21st Century

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional critique of media bias and propaganda in the UK, 15 Aug 2009
This is a vital and exceptionally good book, both well researched and backed up with correspondence between Media Lens and key figures in the UK's 'liberal' media. So in the end you are free to make your own mind up.

It highlights the contradictions, filters and pressures at the heart of our media and enables the thinking person to further analyse the polluted media culture we live in and make more sense of it.

Ultimately its a inspiring read that offers us hope for correcting grave and gaping common distortions and gives us hope for constructing more reliable news analysis in the future through non corporate, non profit Internet based services such as Media Lens and Znet.

One hopes that the BBC, Guardian, Observer and Channel 4 are able to lift themselves out of the pit of the corporate government mindset and truly invite intellectual reason and free thought.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not compatable with Palm TX, 8 April 2008
The keyboard looks ideal, but unfortunately it is not compatible with my Palm TX. I'd recommend getting a wireless one instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny diary of the highs and lows, 4 July 2007
Mark's book is hilarious. He has a funny, eccentric angle when writing about walking across his own country. But he is also surprised by what he encounters along the way, the highs and lows of long distance walking and people and places along the way. Its a very honest account and Mark is not afraid to say what he thinks which makes it more the pleasure to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 31 May 2006
Loved this book, really sheds a lot of light on the emergence of america's empire and its nature of corporate government decay. It also gives an honest insight into the author's own personality and how he came to realise the truth of his own life and how he had to change it..

There are not many books as good as this...

Tell Me No Lies: Investigative Journalism and Its Triumphs
Tell Me No Lies: Investigative Journalism and Its Triumphs

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent political mind bomb, 15 Nov 2004
As a Pilger fan I found this book as brilliant as his others but with a new perspective. This time the stories are by other journalists and illustrates subjects other than those John usually writes about.
It indetifies some of the most outstanding writing of the 20th century and helps to highlight areas for further reading. It is the one of the best sources of inspiration a journalist could find..
