This is a long book. We're talking nearly a thousand pages. In many cases that makes a story long-winded and, at times, boring. But not in this case. The 994 pages do not satisfy my want for the enchanting story Patrick Rothfuss has created. I am simply left wanting more. His approach to classic fantasy subjects, like magic, made it seem like I was exploring the genre for the first time.
"The Wise Man's Fear" picks up the story exactly where the first book left off, and the mood of the universe is perhaps even better this time around. The characters are believable and interesting. No one is above flaw nor below some kind of good. I was swept away, and await the next book with eager impatience.
I can not recommend this series enough. However, don't drop it on yourself ;)
