5.0 out of 5 stars Agent Cooper rules OK :) exploration of the dark and light materials of our world, 13 Oct 2014
Hard to know what to say, except, if you're a fan of storytelling, art, cinema or television as a medium, then watch this. Because David Lynch and Mark Frost allowed themselves to tap into pure creative source, to follow the threads of creativity, embrace accidental incidents as part of the creative process and, in the first 7 episodes, encouraged others to do the same, something really special happened. Yes, it's weird, yes it goes off the track a bit in the second season, but maybe that was part of a process too. I was wishing so strong that they would return after the 25 year prophecy and make the 3rd season that will perhaps integrate the light and dark. So pleased to hear the announcement that that is the plan. Hopefully they'll be back trusting fully in their sense of paying attention and allowing creation to run again. A great example of how things take time. Rushing is not always the way to get things of quality done. Sometimes you need 25 fallow years on the potato field! :) So all the more reason to watch it for the first time, watch it as a refresher, or just watch it to get to know it deeply before we find out what happens now. Agent Cooper - especially in those first few episodes - is a joy to watch. It's amazing how material of a such a dark disturbing nature can be combined with so many bits that make me smile, a real lightness. I don't necessarily agree on the take that is given on what evil is, but I greatly appreciate the exploration of light and dark materials, and feel it is necessary for us to do as a collective. Love the archetypal themes, powerful imagery and no-apologies approach to art making. Can easily be watched again and again, and the extras give further dimensions on the creative process and history. Thanks for making it :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Important, genuine, resonant, emotional., 13 Oct 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is an important and special DVD. Marina Abramovic made a strong impression on me when she came to talk at Glasgow School of Art in the late nineties, I've never forgotten her powerful presence and was always looking for a way to own a bit of her work. Other than in books. This gave me that. It feels an important weave of spiritual or buddhist practices combined with contemporary art that is of quality, genuine and heartfelt. I found it very emotional and deeply resonant. Thank you for the art, and thank you for making this DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big, sparkly and a bit different, 13 Oct 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I love this. I wanted something sparkly, with a big stone, and a wee bit different and it is perfect for that. Because it's a slightly different style to your average belly bar, it gives the look of like an old school Indian belly dancer, or something like that. it seems extra sparkly, extra special and very reasonable. Came all the way from Thailand. Thanks :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Should be read by everyone, 9 Feb 2010
I feel that this book should be read by everyone. It's not necessarily what you'd expect and it's not one sided or biased or pointed or contrived, or even desperately political, it's just sort of real and human. It charts real stories of what really happened to some people that day, and how it affected them. It's written pretty simply but well, and contains some surprises too. It struck me right in my heart and my mind and again I just feel that the world would be a better place if we were all made to read it when we were 15 and 30 and 45 years old.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for list lovers and everyone else too, 30 Mar 2009
Discovered this book in a cool book shop attached to a contemporary art gallery in Paris, I'd never heard of it before.
The idea is to create your own autobiography by filling in the lists.
It's sort of addictive when you start looking at it and makes you think about things you have done and have loved and remember, and also makes you want to talk about the lists with other people.
Lots of fun, great present.
And it feels nice to commit some of your memories to a special wee book in such an ordered way - like creative and organised at the same time.
Very cool, treat yourself .. and a friend, I reckon.
