Memorex MI4014-BLKUK iWakeup Clock Radio for iPod
Memorex MI4014-BLKUK iWakeup Clock Radio for iPod

3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed bag, 11 Jan 2011
There are advantages and disadvantages to this docking station.

The good points:

1) The display has 3 levels of illumination
2) There are 10 volume levels which should suit most needs
3) The volume of the alarm gradually increases as it goes off
4) The snooze setting can be set between 10 minutes and 60 minutes for when it next goes off
5) It has a big snooze button

The bad point:

The buttons aren't illuminated so it's awkward to turn off the alarm when it goes off. This outweighs the above advantage significantly.

I bought this for my mum & dad who like different types of eggs. They say it works perfectly and are delighted.

3.0 out of 5 stars US Carb Counting, 29 April 2009
This is one of the many US Carb Counting books. It has dietary advice which is generally useful but the actual "Carb" bit of it is of very limited use to someone in the UK.

This pocket sized book has excellent information; is well laid out and, above all, is BRITISH so you have relevant information to the UK foods.

I thoroughly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pinpointing information, 15 Aug 2006
The information in the book gives a much clearer idea about what is available. If you are researching a family tree before 1837 it can be a bit daunting because you know someone was born;married or died but don't know if the records are available and if so where. This book answers that question.

The most amazing thing for me was putting place names and parishes on a map - I had been researching my family and different parish/ place names were showing up but now I could see on the map how close they were.

It is, however, only a source guide - "this is the information that is available and these are the people who hold copies of that information" - but it is an opportunity to confirm knowledge and develop your family tree.

A great book and thoroughly recommended.
