2.0 out of 5 stars Red Bore, 15 April 2009
I've been a massive fan of Red Dwarf for a number of years so i was incredibly happy to hear that they were making 3 specials. Like every other Dwarfer on the planet, i sat down on friday in anticipation for the return of my favourite show of all time, i had a big cuppa tea and a range of snacks at the ready only to be greeted with one of the worst episodes of Red Dwarf i have ever seen, im sorry but that is my opinion. The first part was actually boring, i found myself wanting to switch it over at one point! The characters weren't the same, they seemed tired and bored. There were times while watching this where i was actually embarrased, the scene in which they arrive on the set of Corination Street was cringeworthy. This is not the Red Dwarf i fell in love with all those years ago, this is nothing more than the final nail in the coffin for one the greatest tv shows of all time and that makes me sad :(. I think Red Dwarf should be left well alone now.

5.0 out of 5 stars The biggest and best yet., 6 Jun. 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This is the first review ive written in a while so it probably won't be perfect lol.

I'm a huge fan of the Grand Theft Auto series going all the way back to the original on the PS1 so i had big expectations for the 4th instalment and im pleased to say that it has more than lived up to the hype. The game has you take on the role of Niko Bellic who has been brought to Liberty City by his cousin Roman to make a new life, but Roman hasn't been entirly honest with Niko and the two end up getting involved with some very nasy characters. I won't go into the story to much as i don't want to spoil it for the people who have yet to play this wonderful game. The gameplay is very similar to the previous GTA's with you completing various missions for Liberty's Citys many villians. The missions vary greatly, some are fun, others are a bit dull or incredibly annoying especially the missions that involve having to chase someone (They drive me nuts lol). The story is epic and the cut scenes are brillianly done and very funny. Now onto the graphics, well, they are just amazing, they truly are, ive spent hours just flying around the city in a helicopter just looking at the view lol. There are very few glitches at least that ive noticed and the game runs smoothly enough although it can slowdown when there is a lot happening on screen. There are a good ammount of weapons in the game and they all genrally work really well, especially the rocket launcher, it's still so satisfying when you take down a police chopper lol. Like all the other GTA's, there are loads of vehicles to get to grips with, they all handle really well and can take a good ammount of damage. There aren't any planes in this game like in San Andreas, but you do get take control of a number of heliecopters. There are also boats which come in handy and are pretty fun to handle. The online is a mixed bag for me to be honest, it's good fun especially with a group of friends, but it can become repetivive after a while much like in Burnout Paradise.

Overall, i love this game, the scale of Liberty City is immense, there's so much replay value here it's unreal. Even after you've completed the main story mode, there will be so much for you to still discover and see. The game gets the full 5 stars from me :).

5.0 out of 5 stars Sonic CD rocks!!!, 17 Aug. 2005
Sonic Gems Collection will be worth buying for Sonic CD alone, if you haven't played this game before then you simply have to buy this collection just to play this gem (no pun intended). The other games in this set are a mixed bag really, Sonic The Fighters is ok and Sonic R is good for afew laughs. I m not sure about the Game Gear games included as i haven't played many of them before, Sonic 2, Triple Trouble and Drift racing are the only ones i ever owned and i don't remember them being up to much. Bottom line is that this game is worth buying simply for Sonic CD alone.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but could have been better, 18 Sept. 2004
After all the hype did Summerslam 2004 deliver, Well yes and no. There were some great matches but there were quite afew turkey's also.

Here are all matches from Summerslam 2004:

Six-Man Tag Team Match:
The Dudley's vs Ray Mysterio, Blly Kidman & Paul London:
An excellent way to start Summerslam with plenty of high-flying moves. 7/10

Till Death Do Us Part Match:
Matt Hardy vs Kane (The winner marries Lita):
I hate this storyline and i hated this match. Vince im begging you, End this now. 4/10

WWE United States Championship (Best of five series, Match #1):
John Cena vs Booker T: To short and boring. 5/10

Intercontinental Championship (Triple Threat Match):
Edge vs Chris Jericho vs Batista:
One of my favourite matches of the evening, All three men did a great job. 8/10

Kurt Angle vs Eddie Guerrero:
Definetly the match of the show and much better then their Wrestlemania XX meeting. 9/10

Triple H vs Eugene:
Entertaining in places but not one of the games best efforts. 6/10

RAW 'Diva DodgeBall' Match:
Diva Search Candidates vs The Raw Divas:
Bloody awful and utterly pointless. 0/10

WWE Championship:
The Undertaker vs John'Bradshaw'Layfield:
A horrible title match with a horrible ending. 4/10

World Heavyweight Championship:
Chris Benoit vs Randy Orton:
Much better than the previous match and a great way to end the night. 8/10

This was definitely a hit & miss affair, Unfortunately mostly miss im afraid. The WWE certainly needs a good kick up the backside.

4.0 out of 5 stars Triple H & HBK go to hell and back!, 15 Aug. 2004
Bad Blood 2004 was fatastic from start to finish, and what a finish it was. There was one maby two matches on the card i didn't enjoy the rest were brilliant. The best of the night however was the amazing Hell in the Cell match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels. You really do have to respect these guy's for what they put there body's through in order to entertain us.
Here are all the matches from Bad Blood 2004:
World Tag Team Championship:
La Resisitance vs Edge & Chris Benoit:
A great way to start the show with good performances from both teams.8/10
Chris Jerico vs Tyson Tomko:
Worst match of the evening by far.5/10
Intercontinental Championship:
Randy Orton vs Shelton Benjamin:
A great performance from two of raw's best young talents.8/10
WWE Womens Championship(four way):
Trish Stratus vs Victoria vs Lita vs Gail Kim:
Not bad for a womens match, a bit short though.6/10
Eugene vs Jonathan Coachman:
Surprisingly entertaing match up.7/10
World Heavyweight Championship:
Chris benoit vs Kane:
A fantastic title match with excelent performances from both men.8/10
Hell in the Cell:
Triple H vs Shawn Michaels:
One of the best and longest Hell in the Cell matches of all time(nearly 50mins).10/10
After the dismal judement day this showed me that the WWE can still put on a great show for the fans. Buy this now you won't be dissapointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars best smackdown ppv yet, 12 Jun. 2004
This review is from: WWE - No Way Out 2004 [DVD] (DVD)
No Way Out was a great Smackdown PPV with one of the best main event matches of all time and the Lesner/Goldberg segment was great fun. There were some dud matches on the card however.

Here are all the matches from this ppv:

WWE Tag Team titles:
Scotty 2 hotty & Rikishi vs The Bashams & Shiniqua.
Not a bad opening match but what was the point of putting Shiniqua in the there. 6/10

Blindfold Match:
Jamie Noble vs Nidia.
This was mostly awful but it had some funny moments. 5/10

Rhyno vs Hardcore Holly.
pointless card filler. 2/10

The APA vs Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin.
Another piontless card filler. 4/10

WWE Cruiserweight Championship:
Rey Mysterio (With Jose Peyes) vs Chavo Gurerro (With Chavo Snr).
A great cruiserwight match with plenty of high flying moves. 8/10

Triple Threat No.1 Contenders match:
Big Show vs Kurt Angle vs John Cena.
A fantastic match where the winner gets a shot at the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania XX. 9/10

WWE Championship:
Brock Lesnar vs Eddie Gurerro (RIP).
One of the best championship matches ever, truly memorable. 10/10

Despite there being a few bad matches this ppv is worth buying for the Eddie vs Brock match alone. Get it now!

3.0 out of 5 stars The start of somthing good, 10 Jun. 2004
With the original cast proving a huge hit on the big screen, gene roddenberry decided it was time to bring his creation back to the small screen with a new enterprise a new crew and a new 30 year mission "to go where no one has gone before".The result was Star Trek:The Next Genaration, and though year one is seen as the weakest season of next gen,it does have its moments such as "Skin Of Evil" and "Conspiracy".The worst episode of season 1 is justice mostly because they had the chance to kill wesley and they didn't!
Here is a list of all episodes from season one:
'Encounter at Farpoint'***
'The Naked Now'***
'Code of Honor'***
'The Last Outpost'**
'Where No One Has Gone Before'**
'Lonely Among Us'***
'The Battle'***
'Hide and Q'****
'The Big Goodbye'***
'Angle One'**
'Too Short a Season'***
'When the Bough Breaks'**
'Home Soil'**
'Coming of Age'**
'Heart of Glory'***
'The Arsenal of Freedom'***
'Skin of Evil'****
'We'll Always Have Paris'***
'The Neutral Zone'***
This is a great DVD box set with lots of extra features and impressive pakaging. And though this is far from the best season of next genaration i still recommend this to enyone who is a fan of the show.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Sod off", 9 Jun. 2004
This is the third sarcastic instalment of the brilliant blackadder saga and though not as good as the 2nd or goes forth, this does have it's moments. The performances by the main cast are brilliant particulary from hugh laurie who plays the utterly stupid slob prince george wonderfully. There are also some great guest apperences from stephen fry, robbie coltrane and miranda richardson to name a few.
Here are the episodes from series three:
'Dish and Dishonesty'
'Ink And Incapability'
'Nob And Nobility'
'Sense And Senility'
'Amy And Amiability'
'Duel And Duality'
Overall this is great comedy but the DVD extras are non exsistant which is very dissapointing. But i still recommend this if your a fan of the show.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (Platinum)
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (Platinum)

4.0 out of 5 stars "get over here", 7 Jun. 2004
The klassic king of fighters is back and better then ever, this game is great fun and alot more enjoyable than the slow tekken 4,each character has three fighting styles which adds great variety.
The best part of the game is the fantastic krypt in which you can spend the coins you have collected and unlock secret characters and other bonus features and then of coures there are the fatalities which are more bloody than ever.
The graphics are reasonably good but this is no soul calibur 2.Overall this a decent fighter, its no soul calibur or virtua fighter but its still great fun and in my opinion better than tekken.Buy it now.
