An inspirational book about the greatest British cyclist. It makes you wonder what she could have achieved with the appropriate support that she would have received had she been competing today. Despite her unparalleled competitive success over 25 years, I found the book described a life that was not just inspirational but also full of sadness and frustration.

A fascinating and very amusing book that really did make me laugh out loud, rather embarrassing on a busy plane journey. It is more than just amusing though; It gives an insight into the class system and also illustrates that the generation gap is not a new issue. The illustrations are very effective in helping to paint a picture of the aspiring middle class in England. My enjoyment was only mildly spoilt by the poor formatting of this version for the Kindle which included some spelling and punctuation errors. Perhaps it should be possible to highlight these errors quite easily via the web so that the files can be corrected and future readers can enjoy the book as it was written? It should be technically possible I think.

A classic selection of British pop at its best. Full of clever lyrics, catchy tunes and superb musicianship which, apart from the rather dated synth/electro bits, sounds as fresh and witty as ever; it's made my commute a singalong experience for the past week!
