1.0 out of 5 stars You get a closer shave with a disposeable razor. Don't even waste your time., 30 May 2016
Why did i even bother spending the amount i did on this shaver, I'll admit i was always a straight razor guy. But the downside with using a cut-throat razor is that it takes time, but the shave is worth it. I figured modern technology must have gotten to grips with a mans desire for a close shave quickly so decided to purchase a decent Philips Aquatouch from a reputable maker, or so i thought. First time using it i used a dry shave, no foam, got rid of 40% of facial hair but the cut was uneven, some hairs were cut closely while others still were untouched. So i figured foam must give you the best results, nope. The only thing i achieved was making a mess and pressing the shaver so close into my skin to get a semi-decent shave i very near choked myself out in front of the mirror. I'm sitting just now writing this review with a shave, in fact it's not even a shave it's a poor excuse of a job the facial hair has been cut but i dare say it's only cut a 1/15 of a millimeter off from the hair, i knew i should have stuck with the safety razor or cut-throat, total waste of money, don't let the fancy looks fool you.

PS - Originally purchased this exact shaver from Argos but i'm so annoyed with the results i don't want amazon customers making the same mistake i did.

5.0 out of 5 stars The company who produces this are amazing !, 15 Aug. 2015

Vitamin D is a essential nutrient for our bodies in which the majority of people are remarkably deficient in. If you live in the Northern Hemisphere like myself i can almost guarantee that you are deficient in Vitamin D due to the little amount of sun exposure and especially during the winter months and during the winter is when a lot people suffer from S.A.D commonly known as seasonal effective disorder. Vitamin D3 is the most bio-available source of Vitamin D and our bodies absorb it much easier than any other type of Vitamin D such as D2. If your a man and your deficient in Vitamin D your Testosterone levels will plummet below what is considered stable causing many men to go through depression and lack of motivation. Nature Wise is one of the best companies i have ever dealt with their customer service is amazing and their products are top notch. You can receive a free bottle from them if you decide to tell them what you think of their product and they ship it for free !! All the way from the States you can't argue with that.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not shave ready razor, buy a better quality one., 16 July 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The razor is not shave ready and would need some honing until it is fully shave ready. The strop is not bad quality for what you pay but for the price it is not worth it. For a beginner i would recommend going elsewhere as you will be disappointed when you try to shave with the razor but for the price you pay what can you expect.

5.0 out of 5 stars ... if you want to break free of the mass-produced crappy quality quadruple razor gilded plastic handles and start shaving ..., 18 April 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Start here if you want to break free of the mass-produced crappy quality quadruple razor gilded plastic handles and start shaving like a real man. This kit might not be the best of the best, but it's something to work with and start out on and its a hell of a lot better than any other types of mass produced razor's you'll find on the supermarket shelves. Your grandfathers generation knew what they were doing when they shaved with this and how or why this has been overshadowed with lesser quality razors is beyond me, im in my 20's and i think I've found a shaving companion for life never will i go back as this type of shaving among others (cut-throat razors) was recommended to me by the older generation and how right they were. Get yourself a kit, you'll not regret it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Satans Choice, 29 May 2014
Lorne Campbell takes you into his world through the assistant interviewer Peter Edwards. Campbell was the child of past generational Scottish immigrants who were a rough and ready bunch who weren't slow to give him a punch up every now and again. He had ultra respect for his father who ironically used to force him to box when he was drunk, throughout this book i cant recall much of Campbell's mother i remember reading about her but nothing that stuck in mind. Campbell found the glamor of Biker gangs to be an eager escape from his childhood and quickly rose through the ranks gaining a reputation for a man not to be messed with and when you were his friend you were his friend for life, even though that did get him into prison more than once with one friend in particular being a undercover agent. Throughout this book you get a feel of what life was like in the Biker circles, but as soon as you get familiar with the outside setting Campbell is thrown in Jail time and time again. He stands by brotherhood and honor defending each virtue unwaveringly this comes across through the " Port Hope Eight case " when Campbell committed a murder and many of his close biker associates got prison terms being completely innocent but not once did they point the finger at Campbell. Through his club going in the direction of growing expansion and unfamiliar faces becoming ever more present Campbell and many other original Satan's choice members feel the club is going in the wrong direction and the past skepticism about American biker gangs seems to fade as he finds what he is looking for in the notorious Hells Angels. Through this " patch-over " Campbell becomes a part of one of the most biggest Biker Clubs in the world today, also sharing the rivalry with the Outlaws one of Satan's choice oldest enemy's. Through this conversion Campbell travels the world and meets many bikers from different countries ultimately changing his perspectives.

This review is from: The Warrior Ethos (Paperback)
Very easily read book about the warrior mindset and what really drives us as human beings, i particularly enjoyed the small impactful history lessons about the Spartans and Rommel. Short book that can be read in a afternoon and something that should be study ground for the warrior mentality.
