5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, not factory sealed, beware, 23 Mar. 2012
This is the second time I've written this review because Amazon didn't Publish it last time. While this edition of the book is beautifully put together and makes a delightful heirloom, it is shipped in a standard cardboard case and the book is not factory sealed.

I contacted Amazon and they told me it was new and factory sealed, now, someone here is telling lies and why would I make this up?

If you want this book to read or put on a shelf then go for it. If, like me, you want to preserve it in mint condition in its original factory shrink wrap, go to another merchant as Amazon will not provide it this way- someone has removed the wrap and shoved the insert inside the slipcase.

Oh, this is also th case as I have found out to my cost.

4.0 out of 5 stars if you don't like it vote with your wallet. Im buying it, i've waited this long, 15 Nov. 2008
This review is from: Chinese Democracy (Audio CD)
if you feel that strongly, then don't buy it.

I've heard most of these songs and they're not bad songs, they're just different from what we've heard from GNR before. That doesn't make them bad.
T.W.A.T. is a cracking track and i've liked it ever since i heard it. The new GNR incarnation have been going longer than the original line up too...Fair play to finally getting this released.

So what it took 10 years+ to release, if you don't like it, go and buy something from the new age section ;)

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY, 23 Dec. 2007
I agree with the previous review. This book is awful plain and simple, spelling mistakes, names wrong on photos.....If you really want to know about Slash, then buy his own book, this doesn't even come close.

2.0 out of 5 stars Only for hardcore fans, 8 Feb. 2007
I pre-ordered this really looking forward to have all their best tracks on one cd but I feel rather let down by the whole affair. The album boasts 'remastered' but i really can't see it. The tracks vary in quality, some rather tinny and others passable (I actually thought my pc was playing up when I first played it!)

Powertrippin' was a great mixed album and sounded terrific, but this falls short and seems somewhat hurried to get out.

The bonus dvd contains straight VHS transfers of their videos....

You have been warned....

5.0 out of 5 stars D-Day - 60th Anniversary Docu-Drama, 24 Sept. 2004
This review is from: D-Day [DVD] (DVD)
What can I say, fantastically portrayed, another well produced, researched and thought about BBC release. Lets hope they release Dunkirk too. If you want a definitive guide to D Day's events then get this.
