Hot Hundred - Hits Of The 60s
Hot Hundred - Hits Of The 60s
Offered by b68solutions
Price: £5.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good value and original recordings, 17 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very good value and original recordings. I think they have used the original (better) version of Who put the Bomp, by Bary Mann (who wrote it) and
not the Viscounts, which is a plus anyway.Or am I mistaken?
Anyway, buy with confidence.

These Real Gone reissues of 60's material are good value, lots of music for little cost.
Sandy Nelson is remembered with affection for his big hits Teen Beat and Let There be Drums. Sandy is backed by great guitar playing.
Buy while these are available, recommended.
Peter.

5.0 out of 5 stars London American 1961 (Real Gone), glad to see this available, 8 Jun. 2015

I know there are several different products available that feature the well loved London American label, but this is more comprehensive in number
of tracks than some of the others, and is very good value. London American were issuing the cream of American records in the 1960's.
I have been happy with all the similar issues, including the Ace and Not Now label issues, and if you like this era recommend you get them all.
The Real Gone label issues are very reasonable in price, and are good to collect.
New Zealand had the London label in the 1960's, and we got a lot of the hits on 45, although because of the small market not all the hits were issued in NZ. Notable omisions were Stand By Me (Ben E King) and So Long Baby (Del Shannon). This CD certainly fills a few gaps.

I have played this CD many times since purchasing it, and regard it as top class. Rosanne has a great voice, and the backing musicians are just great.I am sure if Johnny was still around he would be playing it constantly.

Well done Rosanne, keep them coming.

Another fine album by Linda. When an artist like Linda produces a new album, and has a proven track record, you can pretty much take it that it will be of a high standard. And it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of Memories & Moondreams, 8 Dec. 2011
This review is from: Memories And Moondreams (Audio CD)
A budget priced double Cd that is stacked with early 60's hits.
Sound quality is excellent, well done to One Day Music.
Although the tracks are probably repeated on many other compilations, this one is highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars good value compilation, 27 Feb. 2010
This review is from: Teenagers in Love (Audio CD)
This is a fairly typical EMI 60's comilation , 28 tracks culled from the extensive EMI catalog , all original versions - thanks EMI ,nothing particularly hard to find , but good value. Would have preferred to see the Bobby Vee version of Rubber Ball than the Avons version , but none of these compilations will please everyone.
