Cyclecraft: The complete guide to safe and enjoyable cycling for adults and children
Price: £14.14

2.0 out of 5 stars Prohibitively expensive for a safety book, 1 Jun. 2016
Prohibitively expensive - actually have not read this book and I'm sure the content is fine, but it's been on my 'wish list' for over a year, I just cannot bring myself to spend almost £15 on a kindle book. You might say I can't put a price on safety but the reality is if this book was cheaper I would have bought it ages ago, and I have not.

Everyones got to make a living but is it correct to excessively profiteer off the back of people's safety?

2.0 out of 5 stars Waterproof legs, but rear end not waterproof at all???, 16 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
hmmm, well they arrived with a hole in one of the front pockets so not sure about quality control to begin with, when I queried this with the seller I received no response. They have a strange fit, not quite snug in the right places, but they do keep your legs reasonably warm. But biggest problem with this product is that it is not completely waterproof, the legs, and front groin area have a waterproof finish. But, bizarrely, the entire rear-end area is not waterproof at all???, the waterproof coating that’s on the rest of the trousers was completely left out of this part. What this means is that while the lower part and front of your legs will stay dry during rain, within about 5 minutes of cycling in the rain, and water splashing up from the rear tire as it does, your rear-end is completely soaked. This is the one part of your body you want to remain dry when in the saddle. For that reason I would not recommend this product at all as it simply doesn’t perform. And it makes me wonder about the authenticity of many of the glowing reviews for these trousers on amazon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Surely a fake, disappointed in amazoN, 4 April 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Purchased on Amazon from 'OTC Global Trading'. I would be amazed if it's not a fake, the scent lasts about 20mins, my wife needs to touch my neck with her nose in order to smell it after an hour, worst product ever, I've bought this in duty free shop and it lasts way longer. I really resent this purchase. I recommend you buy elsewhere.

2.0 out of 5 stars I like it when it works but major issues with the battery after only 1 month of use. Will need to return I suspect., 1 Sept. 2014
I like it when it works and it's good for watching videos and surfing the web on wifi but there are major issues with the battery after only 1 month of use. It frequently gets stuck on say 65% charge despite being plugged in, other times it will go to fully charged in as little as 20 minutes and then go from 100% to empty in less than an hours use. This all makes it completely unreliable.
I'm going to ask for an exchange. Part of me regrets not getting an apple.

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent book, 29 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Well worth a read especially if you are interested in historical Japan or if like me you have read Musashi the novel and would like to know a bit more about the real man. Not written in a terribly exiting style and it is short but it covers all the essentials and I found it very interesting.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not reliable, 13 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Really surprised by the good reviews of this book as I've travelled through 5 South American countries using it so far (with 2 more to go) and I have completely lost faith in the book. Of course much of the info is helpful and accurate however there are just SO many inaccuracies and mistakes that after a while you just have to take everything with a pinch of salt. Examples of mistakes include details about the presence or number of atm's in a town, the quality of an establishment (cafe or whatever), locations of establishments on maps. The book is FULL of scary anecdotes about how 'dangerous' much of South America is, deposited most of these places seeming fine in reality, some more specifics about various threats might allow the reader to make more informed decisions and not be so paranoid about minimal threats.

If I could start over I would have gone with lonely planet

5.0 out of 5 stars Very easy read, funny, and inspiring, 20 Oct. 2013

i enjoyed this and don't get the criticism ther book received from some reviewers. If you are planing a trip to south america or just enjoy travelling it is well worth a read. It's not too heavy for the most part and has plenty of humour throughout. Drugs are only a small part of the book in my opinion, yes there is quite a bit of drug use, but no more I would say than is used by many travellers to this part of the world. What the book does have besides is some great descriptions of the places and people visited along the journey, some genuinely interesting characters and enough history and facts to give you some background but without getting boring.
i would recommend. It has certainly inspired me to travel to this part of the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring, 20 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
having read numerous auto and semi autobiographical accounts of fighters lives this stands out as being a much more intelligent, analytical and inspiring account. Gives great insights into the mind of an athlete. Is a great read whether or not you are a martial artist, but if you are you will get more from it. Some great tips on some of the more technical aspects of sports fighting. No ego which is refreshing and not what you usually get from a lot of fighters.
