I was lucky enough to see one of the performances of the Darwin Song Project at the 2009 Shrewsbury Folk Festival and bough the CD straight away! When you consider it was written, rehearsed and performed in one week, it is quite exceptional! For me, there are no bad songs on the albumn, but there certainly are highlights. Emily Smith - what a gorgeously pure voice, and Save a place is a truely beautiful song, as well as Clock of the world featuring the females of the project. It's just a shame Jez Lowe's Darwin Walk wasn't included on the CD.
I would recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys well written folk music, in fact just well written and performed music>
