5.0 out of 5 stars Their live performances are fabulous - Dove's singing is full of emotion and her love of music, 14 Oct. 2014

From another review I did of Dove and Boweevil - "Dove and Boweevil are a band local to me. Their live performances are fabulous - Dove's singing is full of emotion and her love of music, the blues and singing is obvious as she fills every note with the meaning of her songs. Boweevil's guitar playing - well - he makes that guitar sing. The other band members are also excellent as as a group they make wonderful music. Do your ears a favour and treat yourself to some Dove & Boweevil tracks. My personal favourites are Bourbon Street, Getting Somewhere, Listen Up, Red Eye Fly, Lady Lavoo, Sun Goes Down, Come Together... so pretty much all they do.."

I already have quite a few of their tracks but of them all, this one is the one I keep going back to along with Bourbon Street. I look forward to hearing more of their music in years to come.

4.0 out of 5 stars Much better than the movie critics gave it credit for, 26 July 2013
No, it's not going to win any Oscars, but it really is nowhere near as bad as the movie critics & media critics made it out to be. The imaging of a fantasy Mars is fabulous. No, it's not gritty realism, nor is it a scientifically accurate description of how we now know Mars to be - but it's not intended to be that. It is what it is: a fantasy romp on a Mars as imagined by a writer of 1912, made into a movie a century later. There are a lot worse ways to spend a couple of hours.. so watch it and enjoy it for what it is.

On correspondence with the seller, a refund has been given promptly (confirmed by Amazon). If the item had been of the quality promised I would have been able to give a better review/feedback.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple to use, 30 Sept. 2011
As usual, prompt and accurate delivery by Amazon, as well as a good price for this particular model. The only reason I'm not giving this item five stars is that the instruction manual could be clearer in its description of how to set up and work the machine. Luckily, as it's simple, I got it worked out. No thanks to the manual though. But for day-to-day low quantity binding, it's just the ticket.

5.0 out of 5 stars Glorious sound, 8 Sept. 2011

If you like the sound of the Japanese flute and of Tomita, then you will love this marriage of two styles. The album is one I find I am going to be listening to again and again. To my Western ear, this album caputures the essence of Japan in many a track. I already have many Tomita albums and after listening to this album, I shall be buying more albums by Dozan Fujiwara.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delivery & initial thoughts of book, 1 Feb. 2011
This review is from: Willow Basketry (Hardcover)
I ordered this book after attending a weekend willow basketry course. Delivery by the seller was swift, accurate and the book itself brand new. A brief look through the book and it seems comprehensive. It starts right at the start: with the willow plant itself and then how to prepare it for working with, along with tools needed. Having just done a weekend course I recognised several of the techniques, weaves and styles shown in the book in what seems to be clear detail. A swift read has continued to whet my appetite for further practise of willow basketry. The book contains quite a few projects to be getting on with, so I'm looking forward to trying to get to grips with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent read, 28 May 2008
Have to say the book is written in a way that it is an easy, engaging read, which puts across an interest and detail in the subject that is rather infectious. It gives explanations & descriptions in plain English, as if the author is standing next to you holding a conversation with you rather than talking at you. It doesn't have lots of glossy pictures of marvellous gardens and plants, but it has something far more important: necessary information put across in a way that as a beginner, I felt I wasn't being talked down to in a way some celebrity gardeners do tend to do IMO. The information given is incredibly useful and practical. It's going to be one of those books I pop in and out of when needed, and will be come well-thumbed and well-used. I recommend it.
