I salute you! This is a brilliant concert by a great rock n roll band! Loads of classic songs played live along with more recent songs from the Black Ice album. If you are a fan then this is a no brainer! A superb picture, great sound, and some extras make this a very good purchase. Lets just hope that they continue to make albums and great music! Long live rock n roll!

This is a really good record by a talented and accomplished band. It starts off with a nice intrumental and guitar solo by Dan Donegan (he does some really good solos on this record) that leads nicely into the title track 'Asylum'. This is a terrific song, twisted, sick and paranoid in equal measure, it is classic Disturbed! Another single released from this album was 'Another way to die', a song about global warming ,it is a bit different to what Disturbed have done in the past but it feels like a great Disturbed track but with an important message in the process (nothing wrong with that). The song that follows on from that 'Never again' shares similar themes of apocalypse but through genocide. References to Nazism and the holocaust is heavy subject matter to tackle but again the message is clear.

The rest of the album is also solid, 'Warrior' and 'Animal' are nice traditional metal anthems, 'My child' is very sad (about the loss of Davids child). 'Sacrifice' might be my favourite track on the album. It conjures up images of a madman in a straight jacket in the asylum or a demented killler about to take his pound of flesh. The album ends with 'Innocence' which deplores how corrupt the justice system is and ends with the line "Has the whole world gone insane?". The artwork is also terrific both on the front cover and in the booklet. I love flicking through album booklets, it adds to the record, something you can't do with a download. If you like Disturbed then you should like this record. Great vocals by David Draiman, good songs, full of sickness and insanity!

If you are a Motorhead fan then this is a no brainer! The main concert recorded in Santiago is in black and white which I personally liked! It adds a classic vibe to the concert and I had no problem with it. The gig itself is tremendous featuring all the classic Motorhead songs we love and some newer material like 'Get back in line' and the cheerful song 'I know how to die'. The crowd are absolutely amazing here and are full of energy moshing to the songs from the beginning untill the end! Lemmy and the band feed off this energy and give a great performance! There are also three songs from the New York concert and six from Manchester appollo from this tour that is a good addition to the set. (although the crowd look a bit flat in Manchester compared to the hyper Chilean crowd). The bonus features has interviews with all three members of the band and Discs 2 and 3 contains audio from the all of the live songs on the dvd. So grab some snacks and drinks, settle down for the evening, put the volume on high and rock out with your c**k out while the neighbours complain!

There are four tracks that I really like on this record, the ferocious opener 'Downstroy' , the single 'Seek 'N' strike', the melodic ballad/thrash metal of 'Tree of pain' that features nice vocals by a female vocalist, and 'Four elements' (a great uptempo rock track where max sounds angry and menancing). The rest of the album was ok. I found it to be a bit of a mixed bag really. The album does have some nice instrumentals though and album closer 'Zumbi' features tribal beats and nice atmospheres. It is these combined sounds of Nu-metal, groove, and thrash mixed in with tribal beats and percussion that is interesting about Soulfly and I do admire them for their experimentation. I do think it's worth buying this album as it's so cheap on here and then download the songs you like onto your Ipod like I am going to do. I hope this helps anyone.

This is a superb collection of videos by Metallica! If you like Metallica then this is a no brainer! The videos for 'One' and 'Enter sandman' are classics. Some of my personal favourite metallica videos are on this disc including 'Hero of the day', 'turn the page' (a very sad and heartbreaking video) 'whiskey in the jar' (a house party) and the one filmed at the prison San Quentin for St Anger. The only thing to be aware of when buying this is that there are no videos from their recent album 'Death magnetic' as this collection was released 2 years before that record came out. Lastly If you like this check out AIC music bank video collection as thats superb too.

Dvd ~ Korn

4.0 out of 5 stars A great concert to own!, 17 Jun 2014
It's stunningly presented in Hi Def and the sound is fantastic! Korn are on fire throughout and give a very good performance full of energy and passion. The concert starts off with a great drum solo by David Silveria that proceeds straight into 'Right now'. This song really gets the adrenaline going and the crowd are clearly having fun moshing to it. The setlist contains all the classic Korn songs that made them one of the biggest bands over the past few decades and the band are clearly enjoying themselves. The song 'Blind' gets a fantastic playthrough while Jonathen Davis screams his way brilliantly through 'F***t. The band also cover the classic Pink Floyd song 'Another brick in the wall'. They present a tremendous version of this song and Brian Welch lets loose on a great guitar solo. It's one of the highlights of the show. The setlist ends with Y'all want a single'. The crowd love this closing song as Jonathen shouts expletives and gives one last burst of energy to round the show off nicely. If you are a Korn fan than this is a no brainer as you will love the show, for anyone else it's a good gig to watch that shows just how great Korn are live and what a good group of musicians they are.

The sixth studio album release sees Korn sounding defiant and angry! The album kicks off with the aggressive in-your-face 'Right now'. It really gets the adrenalin going and sets the tone for the rest of the album. Other album highlights include the single 'Did my time' featuring superb vocals and 'alive' (where it's message of survival appeals to this listener). 'Im done' is another slice of classic Korn where an irrated Jonathon Davis sings "I'm done being there for others they have their pain and so do I". The anger continues but this time it's directed at the music industry with 'Y'all want a single'. It's by far the catchiest track on the album and contains a lot of expletives but you cant help but smile when listening to this especially as they did release it as a single which is super ironic. The album closes strongly with 'when will this end' with Jonathon again laying his bleeding heart out and wishing all the pain to stop. A very good record that will fit in nicely with your Korn collection. I also reckon that this would be a good starting point for anyone getting into Korn as it captures well the rage and passion of the band.

Hobo with a Shotgun [Blu-ray]
Hobo with a Shotgun [Blu-ray]
Dvd ~ Rutger Hauer
Price: £6.62

5.0 out of 5 stars A street justice comedy, 13 Jun 2014
With lines like "I want to cut off my **** and rub it against your your *******" you know you are in for a cult classic! It is gloriously violent and hilarious with a rough looking Rutger Hauer running around with a shotgun dispatching justice on corrupt cops and crooks alike. Anyone who has watched the death wish franchise or Seagal films will recognise all the familiar tropes and cliches here that is wrapped around a sick sense of humour and ultraviolence. Check out the decapitation and head splattering scenes!

Of course this is not a film to be taken too seriously. It is essentially a revenge comedy with a splattering of blood but if you grew up on a diet of classic 80s movies like Rambo, Die hard and Mad max than you will probably love this B movie pastiche. It is certainly not for the faint hearted!

This street sign is an ideal item to put in a FC barcelona themed bedroom. It contains 4 small holes on each corner of the sign so you can hang it with nails on the bedroom wall. Or it is compact enough to be placed anywhere in the bedroom such as on a shelf or on a sock draw etc. If you love football or barcelona you can not go wrong with this and it does look smart sitting on a shelf, you could even put other barcelona or footy items next to it too like a Messi figurine or whatever you pick up. Happy shopping and kind regards.

This review is from: Dead Sara (Audio CD)
The first song I heard from this band was 'Weatherman' and I loved it immediately. With its grungy vibe, cobain-esque vocals and featuring an awsome guiitar riff that Tom Morello would be proud of I immediately sat up and took notice. Then I saw Dead Sara cover the RATM song 'Killing in the name of' with the lead singer Emily Armstrong wearing a Nirvana T shirt and this made me want to buy the album immediately! Then I was playing the PS4 game Infamous: Second Son and on the end credits I hear a cover of Nirvanas 'Heart shaped box' and after a quick google search seconds later I found out that this band recorded it! I was being hooked in.

The album itself is fantastic! while they clearly wear their influences on their sleeve what they have crafted is an exceptional debut rock record that deserves lots of attention. The album opens with a nice mid tempo rock song 'Whispers and ashes' that leads into the uptempo rock of ''We are what you say' a modern day anthem for the disaffected! The track 'monumental holiday' is another uptempo track that features a great guitar riff. In fact this album is full of great licks. 'I said you were lucky' features another great guitar riff that Tom morello or Jimmy page would be proud of. Likewise 'Test on my patience' is another quality rock tune. Congrats to the guitarist Siouxsie Medley as she really nails it on this record!

A lot of their songs feature soft/loud dynamics such as the wonderfully heartfelt 'Face to face' and jangly album closer 'Sorry for it all' that starts slowly then builds to a climatic rock chorus with Emily laying her heart out in an emotional vocal. Indeed many of the stand out tracks I found near the end of the album. 'Timed blues' is a superb bluesy rock track featuring a menancing guitar riff that sears itself into your pysche. While on 'Lemon scent' (I believe its about selling out) emily really lets go and sounds at her most cobainesque. It also has a catchy hooky chorus.

It is a great record full of talented musicians that deserve to be recognised. I think they have the potential to be huge and I really do think a band like this is needed in our current stale musical climate. Anyone who grew up in the 1990s under the shroud of grunge will love this album. But anyone who appreciates music played with a passion and soul will fall in love with them. Dave Grohl said that they have the potential to be the biggest band in the world! I have to agree!
