This review is from: Sherlock - Series 1-2 [DVD] (DVD)
Witty, pacy and doesn't take itself too seriously.

If you're a fan, then it's only a couple of pints worth for the set...!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great mike, few drawbacks., 12 Mar 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very good quality sound, cheap, lightweight.

Downsides:
- cable clip requires the 'right' size cable.
- no noise cancelling, so will pick up everything in a noisy environment
- Very long cable!

Still good though, I'm happy enough.

Good, well rounded sound for all types of music. Very good for the price. Suffers a little 'cable rumble' but nothing serious.

5.0 out of 5 stars A magical, soulful journey., 12 Mar 2014
I picked this up after hearing Al speak at an event (catch him if you can, he's inspiring and insightful).

There may be other rivers, but there are very few books which bring the same imaginative, immersive experience as this. Al doesn't rely on sweeping, Tolkien-esque descriptions of landscape to try and draw you in, it's more a study of who he is as each moment in time and how the journey reflects in him.

The prose has an almost soft and lilting feel to it, winding through the loosely structured narrative like the titular river. You can sense his passion and genuine love for the lands travelled.

I've bought three copies in total, as I keep giving them to people (never lend a book), and I'll keep doing so.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you ever daydream 'there must be more than this'..., 7 Jun 2013
Have you sat (or stood) at work and wondered "is this it for the rest of my working life?". Well, hopefully it isn't and if you need a ray of hope or a push in the right direction, this book is for you. In fact, just read it anyway.
Although the book talks a lot of leaving 'the city' or the 'corporate treadmill' I think that's really underselling it. I'm coming from the least corporate background imaginable...
There's good advice, interesting stories and what could easily have been nagging, unrealistic shout-fest is a gentle, calming and inspiring companion wherever you happen to be along the career road.
Vivé la resistance!
