Lowepro Fastpack 350 Quick Access Backpack for SLR Kit, 17" Notebook and General Gear - Black
Lowepro Fastpack 350 Quick Access Backpack for SLR Kit, 17" Notebook and General Gear - Black
Price: £69.00

5.0 out of 5 stars All you need for a week away, 1 July 2009
This product will fit your laptop, enough camera gear for the pro/enthusiast - I could fit my camera body, flash, 4lenses and apple laptop with ease. It has numerous compartments with specific purpose such as memory card holder. I purchased this item more for the laptop element. It is so good to have all my gear in one bag rather than spread through which makes it perfect for a weekend/ week away when you are planning to be at work on your photos!

3.0 out of 5 stars Fiddly, 1 July 2009
CONSTRUCTION
I've used this product a couple of times now. The first time was incredibly fiddly to put the train onto my lastolite backdrop. It stretches round the edge and if you do not get it just right the cover just pings off the corner you have just put it on and you're back to square one or indeed it just does not stretch enough to get to that final corner and then your backdrop folds in on itself. I think the design could be thought out a little differently or for there to be clearer instructions. I have had to write on some labels on the product so I know where they should be on setup. I actually needed an extra hand the first time. Once we got it right, it seemed to go on fine.

COST
I think for what it is, the cost is a little pricy.

QUALITY
However, once the product is up and ready to go the quality it gives is fine. I will be using it for headshots and various studio work and am confident that it will meet my demands. The quality of the material itself is great, use with flash is fine of course and you get the feeling it will last a long time.

I just don't envy you if you are on your lonesome the first time you attempt to use the product, which let's face it, if you can't use the product on your own, then that needs addressing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A master's work masterfully produced, 8 Nov 2007
This review is from: South Southeast (Hardcover)
I cannot but echo previous comments on the quality of the imagery. As i photograpgher myself i have been truly humbled by this man's dedication to his work, to photography, to capturing the east and the quality of the results. This part of the world is a sight to behold and done so perfectly here. I was lucky enough to see his work in a gallery in Edinburgh and he immediately became my most favourite of photographers.

What i must add is comments on the production of the book. It is A3 in size and each image has a whole A3 side to itself. This is just fantastic as so many photography books cram many images onto the page. Here you can enjoy the images in a larger size, soaking in the colour and environment. The book does justice to the work and is a must for anyone that loves travel/ documentary photography. This book and the photographer cannot come highly recommended enough.

3.0 out of 5 stars a different problem, 24 Oct 2006
i have not had any power problems with this drive, this problem i have had is that any file size over roughly 4.5gb will simply not go on this drive. every time i have tried to put on a file over the size of 4.5gb the drive will not allow it. i bought this drive to back up my video work, and being as these files use much memory space - i quite often have file sizes over 4.5gb - it renders this drive pretty useless for me. otherwise this drive does the job for my mac powerbook

5.0 out of 5 stars for those who love to worship God!, 22 Nov 2004
This review is from: Hungry (Audio CD)
'Worship' music seems to have been dominated by the 'Matt Redman' sound with other artists such as Tim Hughes, Paul Oakley and countless others seeming to adopt a similar style and formula. the structure and rhyming seems to need to stick to this style.
how refreshing that the vineyard music has graced the christian music scene. i own the majority of the vineyard releases; hungry; surrender; come now is the time; doing the stuff; holy. hungry is lyrically, musically and spiritually superb. wide variety allows for different worship experience and through time many of the songs present on this album have become seminal worship anthems. 'hungry', 'breathe', 'be the centre' are among some that have spread through most and every variety of church. this is an absolute worship classic and a must own by any one who loves to worship God!!
Songs on these albums have brought me to tears, stirred up my soul, made me want to shout sing meditate. you name it! I most highly recommend this and indeed 'surrender' and 'doing the stuff' as three of the most amazing worship albums available on the market.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the usual standard, 12 Aug 2004
This review is from: Wire (Audio CD)
I have purchased both offerings albums and the 'come together' album and eagerly await when thrid day release anything. unfortunately 'wire' does not match the quality of previous albums. it does not even come close. i will make comparisons to 'come together' as both of these are studio recorded albums rather than live recordings. 'come together' has many songs that really are anthems, are declarations, are inspired through the gospel and are real blessings to listen to. many of the lyrics and tunes will comfort, inspire and encourage in the way that fantastic christian music should do. 'wire' is rather bland. the structure and characteristics of third day remain, the occasional moments where the hair on your arms stands on end!(listen to track10). the best tracks on this album are good, check out track 5, but none really have that punch, that awesomeness that third day are capable of. this album will take a few more listens to really begin to appreciate it, but despite that, it just isn't the same. if you love third day then i would still suggest to buy it, i just believe that this is the weakest offering so far from them

3.0 out of 5 stars clever yet difficult, 17 Dec 2003
This review is from: The Tesseract (Paperback)
here is another example of the usage of mutli-narrative, coming together in the finale. personally, i sruggle to read and follow this kind of novel, i have a tendancy of being encapsulated after a few pages of a good book, but with a multi-narrative you skip from one story to another. just as i get into it i have to start again. this is well written and descirptive, allowing one to picture each scene with detail.
the finale, espcially in this type of book can be hyped up, and, sadly is nothing special. all the stories seem to finish together in this semi-satisfying fashion
i would have given this book a better rating had the ending been more epic. having said that an epic finish may not have suited the style of the book. i could imagine other feeling much more for this book than myself.

How to be Good
How to be Good
by Nick Hornby
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars how to be random, 17 Dec 2003
This review is from: How to be Good (Paperback)
despite his consistent style and use of language and humour that makes him his own, one never really knows what to expect from hornby. 'how to be good' is very different from anything else he has done before, but his humour remains. if you are a hornby fan this is a must.
the opening page brings you in straight away, the lead character asking for a divorce over a mobile telephone, yet what follows is one bizarre ride. surreal, yes it is. when one really enjoys a novel and gets into it, often there is huge disappointment at the end, because one wants to carry on reading. i read the entire book on a plane journey to america, and have never had a quicker flight! at the finish i was not disappointed but satisfied.
the words in the title refer somewhat to the quality of this book. nothing groundbreaking. nothing exceptional or mind blowing, just a thoroughly enjoyable, easy read.

5.0 out of 5 stars genius amongst limited material, 17 Dec 2003
This review is from: Life Of Pi (Paperback)
a best seller and a very good reason for it. this book is genius. to think of a setting such as there is throughout two thirds of this book, and to keep it such a captivating, page turning book is highly commendable. it is a very surreal storyline yet, as with many of the best novelists, very believable.
i know a couple of people that found the first third of the book very slow and as a result did not enjoy this book. i cannot encourage you enough to follow this all the way through. i am not a big reader, but my imagination flowed and oozed!

4.0 out of 5 stars good collection, 17 Dec 2003
i had a phase of purchasing most of the back to mine collections. since this time i have realised that once you have one, essentially you have them all. generally the majority are very good, songs you have never heard of by unknown artists yet we are assuered they are classics. i have developed a critical attitude to this sort of album.
concentrating solely on this album, i believe it is one of the better ones. very laid back, the sort of lounge club music. you definitely need a few sofas in the room when this is played. each song holds its own and the tracks are well produced and compiled together. the album has a strong flow and some of the legendary names in music are here, al green being one, and a good choice of his aswell.
i do recommend this album to anyone who likes to kick off their shoes, to the one who enjoys the laid back chilled out night and i do recommend it above many other similar albums, perhaps with the exception of another late night by zero7. it is also a well priced vinyl.
