3.0 out of 5 stars Backward step from the previous model, 9 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Although it still basically works this feels like a backward step to the previous chop to pot.
The main new addition comes in the form of rubber feet on the bottom of it to stop it sliding about. However, the hard plasticy-ness of the new model means that the end sticks up more noticeably than it previously did and it seems awkward to flatten out when you need to get down to the chopping.
I wish I'd bought the old version.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable, 16 May 2013
This fits my hand really well.
I'd tried the Razer DeathAdder mouse but this one has a great ergonomic feel for my hands which is what I was really after.
Love the option to change the DPI setting, I find the higher DPI sometimes a little too sensitive for finer control on the desktop but in game it works well.

Definitely recommend if you want a good ergonomic gaming mouse.

4.0 out of 5 stars More Seinfeld-y. Season 8 of Curb, 16 April 2012
This is definitely a bit lighter than most of the other Seasons of Curb which might come as a relief to those who sometimes just feel stressed out by Larry antics more than others.
That's not to say Larry turns over a new leaf here, it's just a little bit more playful than some of the other seasons. The car periscope episode was one of my favourites but it was plain as day just how much this could have easily been a Kramer-centric Seinfeld episode.
Although the Season might be a bit shy of being one of the best it definitely had some great moments in it. It makes good use of just how much fun you know Larry's really having playing alongside Susie, Jeff and of course Leon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding value for money sound, poor build quality, 7 Dec 2011
As many have mentioned in reviews the sound quality is great for the money. I've still not found any that rival these at this price range. I used to have Sennheiser PX100's and I think these are comparable if not better sounding.
However there are a few snags related to the build quality
- The head band (this sounds silly but it's really annoying) catches my hair fairly often and ends up pulling out odd strands. I'm 30 now and hair loss via headphones isn't helping!!

- The headband on one I had did break by coming out of the black plastic slider

- The main issue is wear the jack is... that wire eventually wears and you lose sound in one ear. This takes roughly 3-6months of daily use I've found.
The PX100s lasted longer but still did the same thing. For me it roughly works out cheaper in the long run to still get the Porta Pro's (as they are half the price).

All I want really is just a bit more protection around where the wire meets the jack. Here's to hoping that Koss are reading this!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent follow on from Assassin's Creed 2, 22 Nov 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Ideally coming into this you will have completed Assassin's Creed 2 Assassin's Creed 2 : Complete Edition (Xbox 360). However it's not the end of the world if not. The game has a neat way of recapping the story from the 1st and 2nd game right at the beginning of this.
Those that enjoyed the 2nd game will enjoy this. It's very similar however I'd say it justifies being a whole new game (there's a lot of content) rather than being called an add-on.
Multiplayer is great fun and refreshingly different in comparison to 1st person shooters. The main "Wanted" mode is such a great idea. Haven't got round to doing the team modes yet.
Just a quick recap. You'll love this game if:
You enjoy sneaking around all stealthily
Played Assassin's Creed 2 and enjoyed it
Love a story line full of mystery and conspiracy
or as an excellent pre-cursor to visiting Rome (it's very faithfully recreated in the game)

4.0 out of 5 stars Plug the gap, 4 Nov 2010
This review is from: Fable III (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Ok, if you've been out there and read some other reviews you'll probably see that Fable's been knocked on the fact that there have been a lot of promises that have fallen short.
It's nothing revolutionary (that's an accidental pun there), but if you're like me and you want a bit of adventure then this does enough to deliver and make it a fun experience.
Those that played Fable 2 and enjoyed it will get along with this fine. No, it isn't necessarily better than Fable 2 but hey. It's just nice to have a bit of a break from all the tediously predictable war games and indulge in a bit of adventure.
If you want something that's a bit silly, flawed, but enjoyable then this is worth getting!

5.0 out of 5 stars Carpenter's finest hour, 21 Nov 2008
I agree with C.A.Wyatt in that you should ignore the Amazon review here.
That review seems to paint a picture of it being bloody and also gory for gore's sake which would be misleading.

What's true to say about the film is that it's easily one of the best horror films you're ever likely to see. I think the synopsis describes it well.

As for the Blu-Ray transfer, it's a good 1080p transfer with DTS-HD audio, exactly the way it should be seen and heard.

A film worth seeing if you haven't and a great edition of the film for those who have.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most immersive world you'll ever play in a game, 22 Feb 2005
Well, to give this game anything less than 5 stars would just be a crime. This game is so highly polished, it may as well be a mirror.

Everything is thought out, there're just so many aspects that make up this absolutely huge world that time just passes you by so quickly when you're playing.
That's the only draw back is for people who don't really have much time to play the game. The world is just so big that it's hard to get anywhere in a short amount of time.
A game like Doom 3 offers up hours of gameplay, this literally offers up months of gameplay. It's crazy!
I would recommend this game. Just don't start neglecting your own life if you get addicted!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite simply one of the best albums of all time, 27 Oct 2003
This review is from: Avalon [VINYL] (Vinyl)
Unique, atmospheric, great to listen to. As far as i'm concerned this is a masterpiece. It offers a lot more than any other album around. A real genius slice of song writing. Every song on this album is justifiably good and it delivers as an album.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Hidden Gem, 10 Nov 2002
This review is from: Fear of Success (Audio CD)
I too came across Caleb via the "One Night At McCool's" credits. I'll cut to the chase and say that if "She Likes The Attention" whetted your appetite, then this album won't disappoint you generally.
With vocals that have a slight tinge of Steve Miller to them Caleb's song-writing is a pleasure to listen to. He perhaps strains on some notes that don't agree with his range so much but the song-writing offers something new and fun to listen to. The lyrics have a nice edge to them as well.
If you want to add something new to your record collection, you should check this out really. Consistently good songs fill out this album, you can't go too wrong!
