So far so good. I have located these under the eves of my large garden storage shed to light access. They are bright - although not enough to constitute a full security light - but thats not what I wanted. They do the job of lighting the path area and access really well - the motion detectors are responsive to about 15ft and reliable. These are a very good alternative to running a mains supply. I would not risk using them without cover from rain though. The units can be removed to use as a torch as well although the switch to change to full-on mode is internal. The clamp mechanism could be a bit more robust as one of the rubber feet dropped out whilst fitting. I think these are the best value and best designed of all the products in this category I have looked at and appear to be much more reliable than similar solar linked battery lights in UK winter months.

1.0 out of 5 stars Western Digital Have Stolen Hours of my LIFE!!, 15 Nov. 2014
I am a former IT project manager. This kit will run OK for a few months then it will start to fail and it will start to eat into your time. The 'Smartware' software is not fit for purpose and the access to configure it is painfully slow, if at all. It will drop out regulalrly. This is the the IT equivalent of a 1970's american car, put together by a complacent and untalented team and should never been allowed to hit the retail market in the condition it is in.....

1.0 out of 5 stars A wasted hour..., 31 May 2013

I work in IT support and it appears that this is not compatible with Windows 64 and/or BT Home Hub. Connected promisingly at a mediocre 72mbps BUT reduced broadband speed to 0 or about 1mb depending on how it felt - old technology dressed up as compatible - another bit of time wasting computer kit that could have you up till 2am in the morning if you are unlucky with the wrong configuration....don't bother.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value and practical, 31 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this to attach to my sons racing go-kart for reviewing race and track performance. Excellent product and kit with Cam including waterproof case and a myriad of attachment devices. Will definitely use with biking and canoeing as well. Movie quality not HD but perfectly adequate - its tiny size and quality has generated a lot of interest - esp from people who have spent £250 on a Go-Pro which is a lot more expensive to break in a crash or getting dropped! Highly recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too basic - no SMS draft message function, 3 Jan. 2012
Solid phone with large screen, generally easy to use. However, call sound quality can be variable, camera v basic. Operating system now too basic for price - note that SMS messaging has no draft function which is a small but major drawback if you want to save emails before sending...shop around there's much better for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mondo Fabulous, 9 Oct. 2009
Well designed and easy to set up. Have installed this to my JVC mini stereo in kitchen. This is a neat and compact gadget which means I now have access to vast (x4000) array of radio stations with all music genres and can also play MP3's from my PC upstairs. I didn't want a stand alone streaming radio - this sits neatly on top of the JVC unit and it makes use of decent stereo speakers. The reception is v.good and sound quality with 96k+ sites is excellent - beats my FM reception hands down. Occasional blips with some stations - but overall excellent value for money. Using the Reciva website to build a comprehensive playlist of favorite stations is a great feature and very helpful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid at all costs, 11 Oct. 2007
My family has been struggling with this travesty for year now. But its just been marked for termination.

How HP ever got away with distibuting this excuse for a MFD, I don't know. Paper has to be fed one sheet at a time, the software is unstable and the device is beset with errors. It also runs a test print every time its turned on, wasting ink.

Take my advice and give this useless lump of plastic a wide berth - trust me, I'm an IT project manager.
