4.0 out of 5 stars More mature follow up to 'Settle', 22 Oct. 2015
This review is from: Caracal (Deluxe) (Audio CD)
It has taken some time, but for some reason, after initially being dissappointed by this album, i am actually rather enjoying it now. Maybe the debut set the tone, and tainted my expectation. Maybe i just wasnt in the right frame of mind. But thats by the by now, as i have thouroughly enjoyed the second release. The production on the songs have been honed and mastered, creating a more mature sound. I'd say this album has more of a 'groove' than a 'beat'. The debut was like a packet of skittles. This is like a bar of chocolate melting in your mouth. The change in pace between tracks at first caught me completely off guard. But now i find it refreshing.

A really well packaged steelbook. Nice matte finish. Some extras, but could of been better. Picture quality is spot on! And the sound is great on my soundbar. A must for collectors!

Great films, even better with a beer. Box art on the front was not the same as in the photo though, so be warned! The one I got, was just photo's of Clint and Clyde on the front. Bit lame, but hey, the films look great here on dvd.

4.0 out of 5 stars nice modern looking gloves, 1 April 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great gloves, look good with my leather jacket. Also good for driving. Just watch out for excess wool sticking to your hands after a while, you'll be blowing it off in no time. They are warm though, so good for when the weather's a bit frosty. Aside from that, nice fit. Has a great little button that fastens together on both gloves. Quality stitching.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not great, 1 April 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Aside from the lazy box art, both inside and out, this is currently the best collection available on Blu-ray. All 7 films come with extras, especially the first film. Some of the extras are a bit lame, but you watch em anyways! For example, the trailers could of been better, on one film, the trailer was the lousiest trailer, usually on other films, they feature most if not all the trailers, but here is not the case. Poster art would of been cool, as the Nightmare series featured great artwork for all films, but nope, no posters! Also, one more gripe, the Menu Screens for each film could of been a little better. For the background image, they chose the crappiest box art that was used by later distributors for VHS, not the cool original box art you saw on the rental covers or cinema posters.
Aside from this, the films themselves have never looked better. And that's what's important right?! Both sound and picture quality are way superior to the DVD release's, crisp, clear, vibrant and HD quality as expected.

Overall, good to own for any fan wanting this collection on BD, but more effort in the box art and extras could of been miles better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vampire ass kicking fun, 6 Sept. 2014

excellent picture quality, much better than dvd. sound is typically louder. a few good extras, like the comic book back story of Blade, featuring commentary from Stan Lee, but the film speaks for itself.
