4.0 out of 5 stars excellent, 22 Jan. 2008
To understand this book and catch the story you need to read the previous 6 womens murder club books. I've missed the 5th book but i read the 6th and then 7th books. Both are excellent books, i'd highly recommend this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars great read, money well spent, 13 Jan. 2005
This review is from: Dead Wrong (Mass Market Paperback)
three prisoners are transported to court in the same bus, there's no connection. After being put in the same room by chance, they make a plan. The game begins. Mara Douglas is a custody worker who's completely oblivious that there is a killer looking for her until the second person dies and hits a little to close for comfort. This book kept me on edge from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down and have already read it twice. It's pure genious the way the author links all three books (Dead Certain and Dead Even)This book has it all, it has romance, it has action, it has a great plot that makes you think what if....? and it has an open ending which make it all the nmore better because the characters have a second chance of turning up again. Absolutley brilliant book.

5.0 out of 5 stars satisfyingly worth the wait, 24 Oct. 2004
This review is from: London Bridges (Hardcover)
James patterson's Alex Cross series just keeps getting better and better. He's managed to create a 3-d character which he just keeps evolving and perfecting. We have a detective turned FBI who is seeing a lady on the otherside of the states, he has a young child who has been taken to live with his mother and who Alex misses terribly and he has a nasty bombing by a suspected terrorist network plus some old grudges get settled. this book has it all-action, romance, thrills and spills!! in the last book (big bad wolf) we saw little Alex jr being taken away by christine's lawyer. this book sees alex finding the additonal struggle of trying to fit in with teh FBI, juggle his relationship with Jam, catch the ever elusive Wolf and also get the Weasel who makes and explosive comeback. An extremely good read which i couldn't put down and then had to re-read it just because i liked it so much.
I highly recommend this to any readers, fans or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bitter sweet and very tense., 30 May 2004
The ultimate pain for any parent has to be outliving a child. Imagine outliving your child and not knowing the why's and then the what if's that inevitably follow. That's the case for Caroline and Chris Webb. Out one evening with his young daughter Hayley, someone lures Chris from his beautiful girl. Left alone on a swing, She's taken. Twenty years later and someone is threateneing Caroline's other daughter,Melinda.
The plot only thickens during the book reaching a huge climax that blows the main characters' live apart. The book has twists and turns galore and although i had a rough estimate as to who the killer was, the ending and the final twist that came was still breathtaking.
An absolutely thrilling book with an undeniable genius being poured into the plot by the author. Nicely handled, very tactful with such an emotional subject.
Superb read. Worth every penny

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, 30 Jan. 2004
this book is a master piece! the main character is fabulously painted so that you feel like you know her. IT's amazing the way alex kava has built upon the character and outlines everything for you so that you don't lose the plot of the story. the whole story is gripping and has a splash of romance thrown in. It's not typical hollywood style romance but it just creeeps in. The plot of the story is complex and excellently built upon through out the book. it definately keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering who's stucky after next and the twist at the end is great. Just when you think it's over Alex throws in another twist and you become addicted. It's very compulsive reading and i finished it in one setting.

5.0 out of 5 stars mind blowing!, 29 Aug. 2003
The debut of Sara Linton. This book has some amazing twists and is a real cliff hanger but it does take a certain taste to enjoy this book. If you hate reading about blood, guts and sexual stuff then this isn't the book for you unless you plan on skipping the main body of the book. This is extremely well researched and has a lot of interesting facts that many may not be aware of. The twist towards the end has you hanging on the edge and wondering whether Sara is safe at all?
