5.0 out of 5 stars Long term use, 11 Mar. 2016
So far, so good. It's now March 2016 and I think I got this for Christmas 2014. Was worried about how badly it was wearing for a while but then it kind of settled down. It's a good size for your pocket especially if you don't have the biggest pockets! Most importantly for me it's not leather, and this is a lot nicer than any other non leather wallets I've had

4.0 out of 5 stars First impressions, 12 Mar. 2014

This case fits the Lumix TZ 40 really well and looks tough. Probably wouldn't fit a spare battery like others have said but you could slip in a memory card perfectly.

Really tight fit for the nexus 4 but this might improve with use. Good construction other than that. Switching to a bumper

5.0 out of 5 stars More of the same, please., 6 May 2009
This review is from: Growls Garden (Audio CD)
Growls Garden is now my favourite song at the moment. It's given a dancefloor edge to Clark's characteristic crunchy, rustley sound, with tremendous success. The sample here just doesn't give it justice.

The rest of this E.P follows it up nicely, with a sound similar to Turning Dragon, the last album. Gonk Roughage is a favourite, with chopped up vocals similar in style to SebastiAn or Jackson and his computer band. Also, this artist seems to have a knack for bass - it's deep but crisp, and seems to sound good on any speakers....speakers that have bass, of course.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lust for I monster, 6 May 2009
To my mind, the work of I Monster on A Dense Swarm of Ancient Stars is music that can legitimately be described as "unlike anything else being made right now." The first track clearly sets the mood - that mood being perplexed fear. However, the blend of sing along, escapist ditties like `A sucker for your sound' and `She's giving me the I' and fantastical mixes of realism and surrealism present on `Cool Coconuts ` and `Dear John' makes for a pleasurable, personal listen. Philly Smith's dreamy voice provides the perfect accompaniment to the lyrics and the music, and I Monster themselves have evolved their electronic sound, becoming more organic, but retaining the variety of keyboards and synthesisers which have always contributed to their unique sound.

This album also provides what's certain to be this year's aspirational character in music. Mr Mallard is among many inspired characters from the album, and has his own brief interlude. Despite his clear mental problems, this life of a well-dressed duck sipping tea and reading the paper strikes me as a relaxing and rewarding one.

So, this is an inventive album to say the least. A part of me misses the heavy synth and dancy feel from parts of Neveroddoreven, but artists should always evolve, and left its own devices I think this pond-like album teeming with life, could evolve all by itself.
