Fantastic book, read it cover to cover as soon as I opened it. Beautiful and touching book which has been very inspirational with my own sketchbooks.

5.0 out of 5 stars A delightful gift book for all the family!, 9 Jan 2008
This Christmas I gave several copies of this book as gifts. I discovered it one day when idling around in a local bookshop, was thoroughly enchanted so came home and ordered 5 copies. The book is beautifully packaged in a compact gifty size with a dust coat which looks just like a jar of honey. Inside are lots of interesting and little-known facts about honey (as you would hope), but what makes the book that little bit more special is that if you take the time to read it closely you will realise that the text is filled with subtle yet hilarious dry jokes about its subject. It really is a one-off and made me laugh my head off whilst picking up lots of fascinating new information - well you can't argue with that! So far feedback has been 100% positive, so I'm v.glad I didn't just go down the usual top ten best sellers list this christmas and instead found something a bit more quirky. Read it, you will not be disappointed!

The Cocktail Jungle: A Girl's Field Guide to Shaking and Stirring
The Cocktail Jungle: A Girl's Field Guide to Shaking and Stirring
by Nicole Beland
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars A perfect present for the cocktail lover!, 30 Nov 2005
From the funky yet practical wipe-clean, lime-green cover to the sparky pink text inside, this book contains all the cocktail lover needs to know plus masses more. If you have always wanted to host your own "Margarita Style" cocktail party, this book provides great suggestions on how to style it, what music to play, what to wear and of course what cocktails to serve. It also has inspired sections on cocktail astrology and your cosmic cocktail - Libran? Then you should try a Long Island Iced Tea. I deducted 1 star as I would have liked to see pictures of the cocktails beside the recipes, a tiny complaint about a truly fabulous book.
