5.0 out of 5 stars Prepare for tears, 23 Jan 2013
Bought this just before Christmas and only got round to watching it last night with the wife. Having seen Dara's previous filmed shows I anticipated that I was going to have a laugh; boy was that an underestimation. Whilst it starts off a little slowly by the end I was searching for tissues to wipe away tears of mirth. The guy is a genius and 5 stars are well-deserved if only for 2 scenes alone : attempting to surf in Australia and the noises to make if you find a burglar in the house. Absolutely BRILLIANT. Will have to keep my eyes open for his next tour to make sure I'm there. BUY IT.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad at all, 19 Dec 2012
This review is from: Devil's Rock [DVD] (DVD)
Whilst low-budget horror flicks are a bit hit&miss (Bane being a flagbearer for the latter) Devil's Rock is actually not too bad at all : Acting - reasonable, Gore content - high, Nazis - de rigeur nasty and evil. The premise of the film returns to the well trodden path of Nazi experimentation and the occult and I have to say it does it rather well. Give this one a go, you might be surprised you actually enjoy it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Utter ****, 19 Dec 2012
This review is from: Bane [DVD] (DVD)
Admittedly bought this DVD in a way that I would never do; cover looked good, description sounded good and basically it was cheap. I watched the film then realised why I never buy movies in this way. To be fair it started out with some promise although the acting ability of the cast was severely hampered by the fact that none of them could act. However this initial promise of strangers locked in a cell with their number dwindling on a nightly basis was ruined by the production team deciding that their horror flick needed some twists and turns which were bizarre, unfathomable and moreover needed to dispense with the entire premise of the first half. If you like cheap horror fine (believe I do) but do not buy this utter tripe.
