4.0 out of 5 stars Cellophane Sleeves., 3 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought to hold quality A4 photographs back to back in the same sleeve and present them in a loose leaf folder and they work well for this purpose. There is a small issue for me in that the description stated clear plastic sleeves and they sort of are, although the sleeves all have a skin-texture like patternation that mottles ever so slightly the sharp image of the photo's, so I personally like them rather than love them!! So the plastic sleeves are not smooth and completely free from texture but they are well made and will do the job. They'd be perfect for preserving notes in a loose leaf folder or for general documents. They're a great price too! (Well they were when I bought them a week ago for £3.43, a week later they're £5.99..that's a bit of a hike!!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Printer., 3 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Owned a few printers in my time, bought this one specifically to print good A4 photo's. It has lots of functions like WiFi, printing from mobile phones, SD cards, fax etc none of which are important to me. I just wanted a good 6 cartridge printer with a USB connection to my computer to make good prints. Installation was straight forward. I found the touch display unnecessary as all printing controls can be governed by the computer printing process, but it will be handy if direct printing is needed from a camera or SD card. The air turned blue when I tried to print my first photo's as the printer is a little complicated to use, with three paper feed points and all sorts of other stuff which complicates what should be an easy process. The paper must be placed upside down in the tray which to me is counter intuitive...and resulted in a few well chosen oaths when print after print was made on the wrong side of the paper!! My fault for missing that sentence in the manual. I found the printer complicated to understand and the manual inadequate...there are elements in the menu on the printer touch screen that are not explained at all by the manual. However, the prints are now coming off beautifully onto Epson semigloss paper, great depth, clarity & quality. The occasional blemish, one little line a couple of millimetres long has appeared on one photo but otherwise I'm very very happy with the photo printing. Documents (fine draughtman's drawings of boat designs) are coming out crisp and accurate. So I'm happy with it, but it is a complicated piece of kit unlike other printers I have used. I can't review the other functions like WiFi etc as I don't intend to use them.

5.0 out of 5 stars The bee's knees..., 3 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought to print photo's with Epson XP-750 very pleased with the results. The finish is very agreeable... realistic, great depth, very nice photographic paper. Glossiness is a personal preference but these semigloss papers look professional and very easy on the eye. I'll take them over glossy any time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great !!, 2 Feb. 2014

Love this series of films on a very special part of the world. Looks superb on Blue Ray. Monty Halls makes for an informed and level headed presenter who doesn't feel the need (thank goodness) to wildly exaggerate his enthusiasm for the cameras. He lets the magnificence of the GBR speak for itself. Brilliantly filmed and full of knowledge and information.

This little beauty arrived very quickly and is very good quality. Astounding price for an item of this quality. Arrived in it's own little plastic box and well wrapped in foam to protect it. The lenses are very good and the overall quality of the finishing is excellent. Very nice little item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cleaning Fluid!, 28 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought for use with Photo Solutions Sensor Swabs. Three drops on a sensor swab and hey presto dirt and dust was lifted from the sensor, a fresh swab and another three drops of this fluid and the sensor was sparkly clean. The bottle should last a very long time. I haven't used this fluid on a lens as I'm still using up an old bottle of distilled water and detergent which seems to work very well, but it can be used on lenses and sensors.

4.0 out of 5 stars Expensive swabs...but they work., 14 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Well I'll echo other people here and say these swabs are ludicrously expensive for what they are. Twelve plastic spatulas all with their own lens tissue/cloth secured with a rubber band. If we knew what lens tissue they were using we could make our own since we now have the plastic spatulas! Apparently the PEC-PAD cloths made by the same maufacturer aren't suitable for sensor cleaning, these swabs are manufactured in dust free conditions hence the price. Anyway it won't be long before the Chinese start knocking these out for £2 a box!! You need to buy the Photo Solutions Optical cleaner for a tenner to go with these swabs. I had some stubborn spots on the sensor that I was begining to wonder might be flaws in the glass or dust behind the glass...one swab with 4 drops of fluid loosened everything up, a new swab with 4 drops and the sensor was sparkly clean. Test photo (small aperture, white surface or blue sky) reveals the speck has gone so they've done their job. So, they work but it's just a shame the swabs are so pricey, the alcohol cleaner will last years. Personally I think a sensor dust brush or sticky jelly head sensor stick might be the way forward against dust specks and save these swabs for an occassional whole sensor clean.

Lovely weighted malt whisky glasses, bought as a gift for Papa.... he loves them, they enable the nose to be concentrated and a good old swirl of the rarefied liquor to made in the glass and not a drop is spilled. Good price too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome work., 27 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Henri Cartier-Bresson has always been the pinacle of street photography for me, but as he himself said when it was suggested that he was the most important photographer of the 20th century "that's bullsh*t!", well Brasaii has just opened my eyes, stunning photographs! Some beautifully composed photo's here, some of the best street photo's i've ever seen and presented in a fine quality hardbacked book with top-notch printing. It's a super book, really super, and the price is very good for this level of printing. My book arrived in it's own cellophane shrink wrap and well packaged in an Amazon cardboard sleeve.
