Sony Xperia Go Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black
Sony Xperia Go Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceeds expectations, 2 Feb 2014
Wasn't expecting a lot as i got this from my network provider for €151.99 ,about 125 and my old mini pro Xperia is on its last legs but the waterproof claims sold it to me as i work outdoors a lot.First impressions on opening the box were that of pleasant surprise, its a beautiful looking phone. The fact that most of the phone is sealed with its waterproof case gives it a pretty cool minimalist look and feels like a much more expensive handset.Screen is nice and bright ,takes decent pictures .You can watch films from your own media server which is handy ,Walkman and radio sound great especially Walkman ,nice and loud, which surprised me for a Sony product, normally deliberately low.Phone setup is easy and updated to Android 4.1.2 ,navigating through menus is very nice and one of the easiest ones to use i have ever came across. As for cons there aren't a lot ,maybe the resolution on the screen might not be high enough for some, maybe you might want a higher spec camera. But for me this is a perfect all rounder and i couldn't justify paying 4-5 times more for a phone that doesn't do that much more than this phone can and will probably break first time i drop it in a puddle.

I'll just start by saying this little box is the proverbial dogs whatsits!!!
I opted for the straight up XBMC one other than android as i read somewhere android slows it down a bit and the sound options are not as good.
I am no tech wizard but somehow managed to install some pretty cool software with the help of YouTube and Google.Attached a 1 TB Hitachi HDD and 8 GB SD and this zippy little chap seems to have no problem playing various media files along and subs work without having to mess around with joining files, MKV's and HD videos look great, streams movies and sports very smoothly..You may have to spend a few hours getting to grips with it but its well worth it,it will blow most smart TV's out of the water with what its capable of.I also bought a mini keyboard but to be honest the remote that comes supplied is actually quite good and does the job ,there is also a very nice HDMI cable supplied, not a bog standard one.I am using a wired connection but i did update the firmware and tried wireless, both options worked fine, have noticed some neg comments about wifi but i can only guess the latest update sorted it as this device picked up more wifi signals from the neighborhood than any other device in the house. If you don't mind spending a couple of hours learning the ropes this box is well worth getting.
EDIT:just thought i would add that make sure you get the Xstream Tec one as their customer services is excellent, especially if you are a novice they are very helpful and will put you on the right track.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it in the end, 30 Dec 2013
Have to give this product 5 stars because 1.It's dirt cheap 2.It works well.
Word of warning though,it took a lot of messing about with drivers that came on a little disk, they were in pigeon English and accompanying pics were in Chinese.Basically installed everything on the disk until it worked. Now the good news, after it installed i was getting 28-30 mbs from a usb 3.0 drive as before it was about 20 mbs from a usb 2.0,restarted ,this jumped to a decent 65-80 mbs.Used an external usb 3.0 Hitachi HDD and this was lightning fast, not sure on exact speed as it was taking only a second or two for large video files. It doesn't seem to need external power like some cards, this may differ with different HDD,all i know is it works great with Hitachi 1 TB Touro drive. Also it fits pretty flush into express slot with just a couple of mil sticking out.All in all a very cheap way to add USB 3.0 to your PC.

Got this to extend wifi into extended kitchen which had a poor signal reception.Works flawlessly ,now have high speed broadband in a previously weak spot and its clever flat design means you can hide it down skirting ,gaps in floorboards etc.Because its flat it also rolls up much more compactly than a round cable so you can hide excess ,highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little router, 15 Nov 2013
What can i say about this little gem,got it at a great price on a well known deal website for E20.I have a 100 MB connection but struggle to get a decent connection where i need it which is in the kitchen ,a large extended room at the back of the house.I was getting anywhere between 2 to 12 MB but with the TP-LINK its up to 65 MB.I'm sure with a bit of tinkering i could squeeze even more out of it.Contrary to some reviews its a doddle to set up,already configured as wireless router. There is also several other modes ,repeater ,client, access point and you can also use the USB slot to use it as a media hub.Its tiny as well so would be perfect for travelling so you could turn a hotel wired connection into a wireless one.Overall i am very happy with it and for the price of it you won't get better value for money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice item, 18 Sep 2013

Only have this a few days but first impressions are good. It's a nice looking drive, cap clips off and slots onto the end so you won't lose it.There's a flashing light that tells you its active, some people dislike flash drives that do this but i think it helps prevent ejecting it before its finished so you won't lose data. It's a nice size, not too big and not so tiny that you could lose it easily. There is a little steel hoop for attaching a lanyard or key chain(not included). It's pretty fast,20-25 MB write speed with USB 2.0.Haven't tested USB 3.0 yet.If you are getting this for XBOX or PS3 bear in mind that it won't work until you format it to FAT 32.Your PC will format it to NTFS or EXFAT.Don't worry though as there are plenty of free format tools that will do the job,fat32 format ,etc.Well worth the money and highly recommended.
EDIT:tested with USB 3 port and getting 65+ mbs well pleased :)

Was fine for a while ,then became unstable and now its not recognized in anything.Won't format,SD format software says its 30 MB ,supposed to be 32 GB!?!??Apparently not uncommon if you read the 1 and 2 star reviews.I am trying to return it through Sandisk warranty promise but they are sending me around in circles at the moment, might just give up and get a Samsung or kingston.
