5.0 out of 5 stars After half a day of play - Excellent! Lovin it!, 29 Oct 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Ok lets get the downsides out of the way first.

- YES you have to run this game through Origin (although Ive seen no probs with it yet)
- YES you will benefit from having a good pc (although an i5, 4 GB RAM & HD5770 runs the game smoothly on the 'high' setting)
- YES it takes a few pc tweeks to get it sorted (I had to update my graphic card driver)
- YES it takes ages to install (must of took almost 2hrs to get playing ha!)

But it was worth it in the end.

What we have at the moment is reviews from people rating Origin, or rating themselves on the fact they are too stupid to realise that YES - pc games need a lil time and effort to install as there are never 2 systems the same!

Anyway, the game...

A similar set up to BF2 in that you capture the flags, the tickets go down, the team who loses all their tickets first loses the game. There is a variety of different soldiers with different guns/ammo, a variety of ground, sea and air vehicals, massive maps... and of course - the more points you rack up the higher the rank you go (which gain you unlocks). Simples!

What you get from BF3 is far superior graphics, immense detail, more realistic animation/sound & gameplay, distructable buildings, huge life-like maps and like BF2 - you are still kinda forced to work as a team which makes the game so much more fun when playing with pals! And theres lots of satisfaction when your teamwork pays off! (So get voice-connected whilst playing!)

Other differences include...
- A campaign is included this time, although its nothing special (but BF was made for multiplayer!)
- Your home screen is a Internet page :-/ quite strange at first but you do get used to it (and you will discover that this has many benefits!)
- BF3's home page also allows you to easily interact and keep up with friends i.e. everyones stats and achievements are displayed live.
- Its easier for your friends to find and join you in-game, and vice versa.
- There are now other games modes (but not tried then yet, sorry)

Just a few other things to point out...
- There are plenty of servers to join (had no probs so far)
- The maps will take a lil time to learn (as they are new and some are massive)
- The whole game does take a lil while to get used to, but after a couple of hours playing you will be fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent game for REAL football fans!, 2 Oct 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I suspect that those rating this game 1 star are those who are used to putting the game on a low level so they can win 18-0 then go to school/work bragging about how great they are! If thats you - dont buy this game! Even on a low to mid level the game has its challenges and this has been done on purpose to make the game more realistic. The game makes you work harder and think about tactics.

I'll start with the defending. In short, yes its a lil more tricky and you will have to change your game slightly with F12 as the game will not simply send a player clattering into an opponent by simply holding down a button like in F11. Depending on the state of play, the player attacking your defences and your position.. the game forces you to make a very quick decision - to stick a leg in, slide tackle, to track and bully or stand off them. Make the wrong decision and and yes you could be punished! But after you have lost the first few games getting used to it - these decisions you have to make, make the game more realistic, fun and unpredictable!

The new dribbling capabilities are great. Please note - not every player can twist, skip, weave and jump as easily as Messi but most teams have a player or two who have a high dribbling rating and with them you will be able to score some amazing individual goals. I'm a Liverpool supporter, Suarez & Downing can twist and turn well and its a lot of fun skinning defenses with them. Can imagine other Prem players such as Young, Aguero and Lennon etc will be fun to control too! Also note that AI defenses are better and not every Messi-type attempt to skip past a player will work... the game still forces you to pass and move.

Graphics have improved.. not like F11 was bad, but the graphics seem a lil more detailed and sharper (e.g. the supporters in the stands are clearer). Players faces have also improved.

Player animations are a lot better. Players move, run, barge and fall with more realism.

Music is the usual mix of songs.. indie, rap, Spanish/South American etc - if you've owned a previous copy of Fifa you will know what I mean.

Game Commentary has also improved.. it seems to keep up a little better than previous versions.

I havent explored all the game modes yet but as always, EA have added a few more. However I can tell you that there are more options now to interact/play with pals and other users around the globe.

Other than the above.. Fifa12 includes all the usual smarts - latest player transfers, kits etc. What you would expect from the latest Fifa!

Hope this review is helpful. I'm guessing there is much more to Fifa12 but wanted to review what people usually want to know in these early stages of the game being available. Happy playing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Even better than Fifa10, 1 Nov 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: FIFA 11 (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Fifa10 was a top game... all EA have done with this is taken the very few gripes and fixed em, and taken on board gamer suggestions and added em! Must add however, that the game is a lil more difficult - on a decent level dont expect to win 10-0. The game forces you to be a lil more strategic with your formation, team selection etc bringing in a very small element of football manager. Altho the game looks the same as Fifa10, on closer inspection the player animations and likeness has been vastly improved and the menu system simplified.

Great game - will keep you entertained for hours at a time!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good acting, original story and quite gripping..., 23 Oct 2010
This review is from: Dead Again Dvd [1991] (DVD)
Not a bad movie for the price. Loved the storyline as it is quite original.. its basically a who-done-it movie which covers the subject of past-lives. Will not give anything away but will tell you that there is a half decent twist at the end. The movie is quite slow at first... but does pick up pace (especially towards the last 30mins) and its worth watching for the end result.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good piece of kit for business, 23 Oct 2010
I'm a teacher and wanted to lose the heaps of paperwork we have to use and carry round with us... so bought this product to go 100% electronic. It does the job - I do my registers on it, track students assignments and constantly use the personal organiser functions such as to-do list & calender (which reminds me of deadlines, meetings etc).
Be warned that although the device is home wifi friendly, it is difficult to connect to the internet if a wireless connection is heavily secured (such as in a college/uni/business). I do have problems gettin online. This is only a minor issue but disappointed all the same. The device is a good size - small enough to just fit in suit trouser pocket but big enough to view software and documents well.
Be warned - this product is NOT a phone. Does not bother me however, its the reason I bought it - as we are not allowed phones in classrooms.
There are a few software extras you can buy but they seem quite difficult to find and install on device - so havent bothered. But everything I need is on there including MS OFFICE MOBILE, facebook app, msn msgr app and youtube app. Also has your usual calculator, notepad type programs which altho basic - do come in handy.
To summarise - I would try to avoid buying this for 300pounds (RRP).. think you will be a lil disappointed. I bought it for 110pounds and felt that was a reasonable price for what you get.
Hope these details help a lil in your decision to buy or not.

Great watch if you're looking to buy one for your beach holiday. Its water proof (good enough for snorkling and swimming) and the strap is of a comfortable material. Looks smart too!
A great buy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great case, great price!, 23 Oct 2010
Very well fitting protective case.. and cant go wrong for the price!
The case hugs round all sides and puts a rubber rim around the front of the phone - this means you can place the phone face down on a flat surface with no chance of scratching the screen.
My only snag is that is a lil thick. Not stupidly thick like its a major issue, but just enough to drop 1 star.
