Foolproof. Works well. BT from an ancient iPod Touch worked first time. Should have thought of this before!

Great deal on the iPhone5. You miss out on the fingerprint reader and always-on pedometer over the 5S etc, but if you want a 5C hardware with a decent memory fitting this fits the bill.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for naked iPhone users, 21 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Nicely constructed. Good, hefty design. Includes power adapter with different country power connectors. If you want a stand for a naked iPhone this is the one to get. Also fits an iPad Mini nicely.

HOWEVER... even with the flexible connector on the base, the connector is mounted on a small shelf (which is flexibly mounted) on which your iPhone rests - meaning there may not be enough Lightning conductor height to engage in your phone if you have any kind of case or bumper fitted. As I leave my iPhone in its case it will only fit with the iPhone backwards. Thats OK for overnight charging duties but not really the point of a stand!

SO if you have any thick bottomed or all-round type of case I'd recommend instead one of the generic microUSB phone stands + microUSB-Lightning adapter. This adapter is small enough to fit into the "cable hole" in the bottom of most cases, and gives enough height to leave the phone able to connect through. The only consideration then is getting one with depth to handle a case. My flip case works with a microUSB (flexible connector base) fine provide the case is open and flopped out in front and that is what I recommend.

So for naked iPhone and back-protection case users - 5 stars.
For everyone else - go elsewhere.
For me its 4 stars as I thinks its very nice, just not quite flexible enough to accommodate my leather case (and removing a phone from a case to charge it is a pain...)

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin, 8 Sept. 2014
Holds a Blade 350 quadcopter, shoebox of batteries and stuff, and transmitter bag. Hot glued some spare pluck foam to keep the 'copter secure at one end, and the side-opening shoebox for batteries / cameras and charger stuff. All fits nicely!

Great grab-n-go container. Note its pretty big though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Idea: clean your blade. Better idea: lubricate your beard?, 8 Sept. 2014
Note: this is a "review in progress". I'd never heard of this until researching how to make a razor blade last more than a week. As one who rinses blades thoroughly after use I was very skeptical that this could make the razors last longer. One of the reviews here suggested that the main problem wasn't just cleaning the blade but stopping the deposits from the face sticking to the blade. So although I've tried unsuccessfully a "shaving oil" I did change my routine recently from water rinse + shaving foam to a rinse + mild shower gel lather + dab of shave foam on top. Result! Blade seems to rinse much more easily, never clogs, and is still going strong at 4 weeks... WITHOUT using a Razorpit.

Of course it could be I just got a "good blade" or chanced on the ideal shave lubricant for my mild daily beard + hard water area. Might be the Razorpit would outlast / be more economic than the shower gel / shampoo + dab of foam I use. Maybe the shave foams are deliberately designed to clog blades when used by themselves (they are from the razor vendors after all!). The important thing is there is no need to use a blade a week, and you should be able to get good re-use of blades one way or another!

Will report back on the Razorpit once I can do a comparison with my current best alternative approach. 5* score is for the idea of long-life razor blades (and the education value of Amazon reviews), not the product (yet).

UPDATE 1: saw some debris build up on the blades and a little dulling of the shave. So tried the Razorpit in addition to the shave routine. Seemed to work as the blade seemed to revert back to being as it was a few days earlier. 4* score as currently I think the shave lubrication seems more important, but will report back on that... but happy with a 2-3 month blade life anyway!

UPDATE 2: well the Razorpit only added 2 weeks like to a blade using gel + shave gel. So not a good result on "extra cleaning performance" but the blade was 3 months old by then! Now trying a regime from scratch of gel + shave gel + Razorpit and we'll see how long it lasts
