3.0 out of 5 stars THERE IS BETTER, 25 Mar 2008
Sorry to disagree with the prvious reviews, BUT there is better on the Market try the Sucess In Soccer basic manual. There is also supporting DVDS all age specific.

If you are starting out USE SIS very simple and well structured programme. very typically German in its approach which is its strength.

Play the Brazilian Way
Play the Brazilian Way
by Simon Clifford
Edition: Paperback

2.0 out of 5 stars Not true to life, 22 Mar 2008
This review is from: Play the Brazilian Way (Paperback)
The best and only thing this book gets right is using the size 2 ball which has 30% less bounce. Brilliant for indoor football, played on the deck.

This has very little to do with Brazilian footballers.

Coaching The Coach - A complete guide how to coach soccer skills through drills
by Richard Seedhouse
Edition: Paperback
Price: 8.09

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Coaching, 21 Mar 2008
I echo the 2 previous reviews. The author should be congratulated on an excellent effort. Long overdue.

My small gripe is that 8V8 games are reccommended for U8 age group. You only learn to coach 7v7 at level 3.

PLEASE PLEASE all Level 1 or beginners use the 4v4 game format great for the kids under 11 years old. Easy to coach,as natural triangles emerge. It is the smallest realistic game format.

A good source for 4v4 is Give us Back Our Game and Pills drills both are free on the internet.

Use 4v4 in conjunction with Richards book, I could not reccommend a better combination.

5.0 out of 5 stars RIO FRANK JOE MICHAEL ETC, 29 Feb 2008
Excellent practical guide.

Most relevant to U13+, practical and relevent game related exercises.

The drill down problem section is a great help to any coach, identify your problem then select exercises 1+ to help.

Not many on the market as good as this.

Ronnie's Looking for Trouble: The True Story of Britain's Most Brutal Undercover Cop
by Ronnie Howard
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars What we didnt want to know, 29 Jan 2008
I think previous reviewers have missed the point. The book is written in the style Ronnie (thinks/speaks) this suits the reality of life undercover.

Extremely revealing and shocking, why on earth would anyone work under cover with one arm tied behind their back.

4.0 out of 5 stars Genius, 18 Jan 2008
True genius, as with most of his kind aka George Best a troubled and flawed character.

Funny, dramatic and very revealing.

This book has to be read to fully appreciate the great man.
