A superb service with an excellent delivery team. A first-class product, with whisper-quiet performance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Muscle unknotter, 24 Aug. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A combination of saddle too high and hours upon hours in the saddle led to me developing over-tight adductors and piriformis and a general malaise/tightness/knots/aches/aggravated bursa throughout the hip and sit bone areas. Ice, rest and stretching was easing but not solving these problems. The trigger point roller proved extremely effective at unknotting the muscles, and the constant pressure, although painful at first forced the muscles and connective tissues to release/relax/unknot. The rolling/massaging/stretching effect was/is very good at helping post exercise recovery.
I learned the most effective techniques by watching instructional videos on YouTube and by experimenting until I got the desired results.
I am now well on the way back to a normal level of cycling activity, having kept up the ice, stretching and rest as well; but owe a lot to this roller. I use it every day now, easing tension in my back after work, massaging the aches away after a workout, etc.

Very, very, well-made; sharp. Handle is a great shape. From delicate work through carving to chopping, it doesn't feel cumbersome, just instinctive. A knife to last a lifetime.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tough, easy to use, 3 Mar. 2013

Simple to fit and very adjustable, screen dirties quickly, so needs cleaning regularly, needs to be tightened well. All touch screen functions still work through screen. Don't need to buy a cycle computer now as I have apps that do position/speed/maps/distance/etc/etc. at my fingertips!

Applies almost exactly like wax boot polish but is softer and soaks in much more. Provides a lasting protection and makes your leather look better. Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lycra not for you? Me neither - try these., 28 Nov. 2012

I ride long distances, as I enjoy day/weekend touring; but I like to look relatively normally dressed when I fetch up somewhere and wish to eat/explore/etc. These Altura padded undershorts are the perfect solution for those who wish to avoid the 'Lycra-look'
The undershorts are comfortable and soft with nothing in the way of bad stitching or tags to rub or irritate; they have soft grips on the legs to prevent the shorts from riding, or rucking, up and the padding is well shaped and doesn't protrude in an obvious way that you could notice through your shorts/trousers/jeans. They keep me comfortable in the saddle for mile after mile and I put a fair bit of weight through my saddle due to my upright-and-looking-around riding position. Under very heavy use, they absorb sweat well without any noticable kind of 'soak through' to your over garments - and i've ridden 60 miles in them in 25C temperatures. It's also easy to forget your wearing them after you've parked your bicycle and are walking around. All in all, a highly reccommended addition to any lycra-avoiding cyclist's wardrobe.
