Bond at his cool and charming best, 3 Feb 2002
Having seen all of the Bond series at least once, and in most cases twice, there are two conclusions that I can draw without a shadown of a doubt.
First off is that with his cool and sleek style, along with his impecable timing of the one-liners, Sean Connery was, undoubtedly the best 007 ever. On the rare occasion that he looks uncomfortable, he recovers fantastically well.
Secondly is that You Only Live Twice is the best Bond film yet made, and one of the best films I have ever seen.
Right from the first scene, into the title sequence (and the stunning title track)right up until the exhilarating ninga attack, this film never lets itself down.
The script is fantastic, and the acting unequalled in a Bond film before or after.
Quite simply this is a fantastic film, and if you haven't seen it, buy it. If you have seen it...well...buy it again, just to have it as part of your collection!
