Read this alongside Gutenburg the Geek, and couldn't get out of it - sunburn was the result. Hugely interesting and absorbing.

I couldn't put this book down whilst on holiday - causing sunburn! A deeply interesting read for anyone with an interest in books, geeks, history politics and religion.

You might not ever watch a film the same way again after reading this masterly text.
Field talks us through structure, dialogue, characterisation and much more by using well-known films as examples.
A very excellent book. Party on!

Writing for Radio (Books for Writers)

This book was a great help as I completed a radio script as part of my university course - it also contains the script of "The Gun Which I'm Holding in my Left Hand is Loaded", a brilliantly, deliberately Bad Script, exemplifying the pitfalls of poor writing.
Parts of this edition are dated, but mine it for nuggets - they're still in there

It's a lot like floppy bird but the bird poops and it falls quicker. It is still quite fun to play though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic product for muicians and producers, 13 Jun 2013
I love this unit!

For a start, it looks fun - kind of childlike and not so serious - it is an invitation to press one of the buttons........just to see what happens. Don't be fooled by appearances, though, because this is a very solidly-built product that does exactly what you want in the studio.

You get single button access to editing features such as crossfade, fade in/out, track mute, location points and transport controls. Display can be easily zoomed in/out without the tiresome reaching for the mouse to track down a menu or slider. Colour-coding makes it much easier to use than a standard 'board, and you'll save plenty of time when you switch to this unit.

I've owned mine for 18 months, I wish I'd bought it years before.

I'm a very busy person, and am interested in the many ways in which you can multiply your income. If you actively do what the guys recommend, I believe that you will be on a good footing when you start your online business.
Well worth the money, well worth the read. In fact, it is good enough for me to own both the paper copy AND the audiobook.

This book contains some very useful and interesting strategies to help you move away from the "I can't draw" belief, and towards being able to draw. Very good for clearing away the mush of unhelpful programming that can prevent you from just having a go.
Useful, concise and well-presented. Recommended.

Sony eBook Reader Touch Edition (Black) PRS-600

1.0 out of 5 stars I sooooooo wanted this to be good, 11 Nov 2012
I'm an avid reader, motorcyclist and walker - so what could be better then to carry hundreds of books around in a tiny gadget like this?
The reality of the reader was not apparent for a while, when I began to add my university texts and new books to it...... it seems to be problematic moving files from the reader's memory to an SD card, except via windows explorer, because the supplied Sony software was clearly cobbled together on a friday afternoon, just before the guys went home for the weekend, and after a very long liquid lunch. Slow to load and frustrating....."Piss-Poor" would flatter the software.

Page refresh is slow, and can break one's rhythm if one needs to use large font, believe me it drags........... even though I do not wear glasses/contacts and am happy with small print.

Charging is impossible from a generic USB charger, so either carry your Sony charger or a computer (loaded with the appalling software, of course) because the battery life is much less than Sony claim in the specs.
The concept of a portable library is wonderful, but there are plenty of more able readers than this on the market. Look Elsewhere.
