4.0 out of 5 stars Worth a read..., 20 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Flare (Kindle Edition)
Being English I much prefer to read post apocalyptic fiction that is based within the UK, which of course "Flare" is. It's well worth a read though and reinforces the point that we are too reliant on technology and that the veneer of civilisation is very thin. Only negatives I can add is a couple of typo's and the fact that the story was too short.

A follow up book would be nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a Trangia, what more can I say?, 9 July 2010
A fantastic, lightweight cooker. I now use the mini Trangia (or Trangia 28 as it's sometimes known) when ever I am out and about. Very reliable though I've modded mine as I don't carry the pan. I prefer to use a Zebra 10cm billy can or Dutch 44 Pattern mug. All I did was purchase a 10cm PC fan grill. Used a file to cut 4 small indents in the Trangia windshield/combined pot stand. The fan grill then locates on the windshield and you are free to use pretty much any type of pot or cup. Just fill the burner, light it and after about 30secs the jets bloom and then 6-8 mins later you have a rolling boil.

5.0 out of 5 stars An essential item if your Out & About, 9 July 2010
You might know the basics of First Aid but if you spend a lot of time out in the wilds then this book should be in your rucksack for future reference. Easy reading, good illustrations and a compact size. Hopefully you'll never need it but better to be safe than sorry...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little radio, 9 July 2010
If you want a small, reliable radio with good battery life then this is certainly worth a purchase. Have not had any frequency shift (like you get with cheap and nasty made in the ROC). Would definitely recommend this item :)

5.0 out of 5 stars More than just a Walking Pole, 9 July 2010
Great product, well made and has a variety of uses. Obviously to aid walking but also good to use as a bivvy pole, checking the depth of water, checking for nasties under bushes and when collapsed sturdy enough to use as a baton if your interrupted by mutant, zombie sheeple :)
