Price: £16.08

5.0 out of 5 stars Splendid and tremendous, 23 Mar 2004
This review is from: Hot Damn! (Audio CD)
This album is just shear genius, I had heard only good reviews from these guys, and enjoyed a few tracks off their previous album.
Fast paced guitars, and infectious songwriting make this album a gem. Slightly differnet dynamic from most metalcore bands, which is only a good thing, as they tend to merge into all sounding the same. ETID should be transforming into a band to look out for in the future. Live they are incredible, and the album speaks for its self.
Tracks like Off Broadway and Ebolorama really stand out for me and are really fun tracks to listen to.
Anyone into metalcore should purchase this

5.0 out of 5 stars upgrade of the best album of 03, 3 Feb 2004
Last year, the impossibilty of reason was one of the best metal albums that was released. The intensity of Chimaira is exhilarating, and they are second to none live, and this shows in their live tracks, especially pure hatred which takes me back to when I last saw them and the wall of death. The disc 2, the track names not up on here yet, is:
1. Power Trip (live)
2. Cleansation (live)
3. Indifferent To Suffering (demo)
4. Without Moral Restraint
5. Fascination Street
6. Let Go (demo)
7. Pass Out Of Existence (demo)
8. Severed (demo)
9. Forced Life (demo)
10. Dead Inside (demo)
11. Pure Hatred (Video)
12. Split (Video)
As with most double disc editions it comes with two videos of Pure Hatred and Sp Lit which are well worth it.
This limited edition is so worth it, even if you already have the original release, as it has so much more on it, and has 'Army of me' on the 1st disc which was only previously on the Freddy vs Jason soundtrack.
Stand out tracks for me are cleansation, Down again, and Army of me.

Hatebreed use the philiosophy that 'if it ain't broke dont fix it' continuing with the same sort of formula that was used in 'Perserverance'. So while you shouldnt be expecting anyhting new, this is still well worth purchasing. Hatebreed are a band on the rise, as the album title suggests, and are the leading band in a new generation of hardcore.
Stand out tracks include their single ' This is now' and 'doomsayer'
Classic album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old school Killswitch, 10 Nov 2003
I got this album as Adam D, Joel S, and Tom G from Killswitch, were in this band, and that reason alone, to see what it sounded like. I was blown away by the production quality, and the intensity of this record. It is in the same vain as Killswitch as msot of the musicians are the same, with insane brutal HC vocals.
If you are a hardcore fan, this is definitly worth purchasing, it even puts alot of todays bands to shame.
