What a great album. Smart, interesting, great arrangements, catchy yet interesting songs, and a voice like velvet.

Give it a listen.

1.0 out of 5 stars Never arrived, 28 May 2014

Writing a review because others seem dissatisfied with the product. As for me, it never arrived (waited over two weeks). So, I'd say buy something else here or go to your high street and pick one up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tasty product, great packaging, 8 Dec 2013
Two bottle pack of very tasty olive oil in a very attractive tin bottle and packaging, which makes it a very good gift. Good for cooking, dipping, it's an all around olive oil that is better than your supermarket brand.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great size, bad sound, 8 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The size is great, and they look nice. Other than that, these are poor speakers.

They are very very tinny, the sound is full of static as the wiring appears to be bad, but even when plugged in the sound is nowhere near as good as similar speakers I use at home (these were for my office) which are made by Pioneer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Really good but overpriced on Amazon, 28 Oct 2013
Really good headphones. Dropped two stars because they are kind of rigid and Amazon price is kind of high. But if you are looking for good USB headphones (Macbook air users take note), these are great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Good Kitchen Essential, 19 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Kitchen essential.

The weight, surface, glass lid make this a great item for just about any kitchen. I use it all the time. Better non-stick surface than some of the cheaper brands, just the right weight, cooks nicely and evenly.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mostly Live Versions, 19 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is an album for Nina fans that already have the original albums and best of compilations. Got those already? Looking for live recordings of some of her great songs? Then try this album. Some of the live recordings are great, very few are better than the studio versions or "best of" versions.

I bought this as a gift for someone who doesn't have any Nina albums, and would not have bought it had I known that the vast majority of songs are live recordings.

5.0 out of 5 stars You're Lying in a Hammock..., 2 July 2012
This review is from: A Different Ship (Audio CD)
You're lying in a hammock. A gentle wind ripples the ocean. The song "Over the Ocean" seems to capture the moment: "Isn't it something? The realizing. Silver dots marking. Endless horizon." Even if you're not lying in a hammock, even if the weather is not perfect, this album will take you there.

Luke Temple has slowed down and chilled out. He mixes sparse sounds with echoes and melodies. Production is awesome, and there's good range, from the meditative "Hard To Be Close" to the spare, languid "Over the Ocean." And the result is a sophisticated album fit for a hammock -- or a hammock of the mind.

Love and Summer
Love and Summer
by William Trevor
Edition: Paperback
Price: 5.99

5.0 out of 5 stars An Almost Perfect Novel, 2 July 2012
This review is from: Love and Summer (Paperback)
A beautiful, almost perfect novel. Trevor's 14th novel is compressed and impressionistic, an elegiac little epic about the interstices of love and loss, desire and kindness, home and escape. The writing is spare, restrained and elegant, the emotions huge and true. A couple meet by accident and share one summer's love. Don't think summer romance fluff, and don't think boring book with not a lot of story.

I disagree with the Guardian that this is not one of Trevor's great books. I think it's the work of a great artist at the height of his powers. I do agree with their summary: "It lingers in the memory as a beautiful meditation on love, belonging and the impossibility of escape."

5.0 out of 5 stars Full of drama, lots of range, 2 July 2012
This review is from: Gang Of Losers (Audio CD)
Great album. As reviewers have noted, a lot of drama. "I Fell Deep" is a brilliant, complicated, unforgettable song. This is a band on a mission, a band you fall in love with, from their simple pop songs to their epics. And this is by all accounts their best album.
