5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for money, 3 Feb. 2015

Excellent value for money. I use it for accessories like mics., YAGH interface (for my GH4) batteries etc. It will also take my tripod, although this of course adds a lot of extra weight. Easy to carry and well made.

Superb album from one of the very best singer-songwriters. If you get to hear this cd and you've never heard Gene Clark before - then you have discovered gold!

4.0 out of 5 stars Showcase for Annie Haslam's superb voice, 7 Nov. 2012

I'm a big fan of Renaissance but somehow managed to miss this album first time around. I seem to remember it being regarded in the 70s as a bit of a side issue from the main business of Renaissance. However, this re-mastered cd contains some great tracks, pulled together by Roy 'Wizard' Wood. Surely, Annie has the greatest voice outside of opera!!? You won't regret buying this if you appreciate top class vocals on a variety of tracks composed by R. Wood esq. through to Dvorak. Great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rory G - master musician, 15 Oct. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've listened to virtually all of Rory's music since 1970 and have just received these 2 DVDs to complete my collection.Quite honestly, I sat and watched the live performances with the hair sticking up on the back of my neck - Rory's guitar virtuosity is stunning. Whether it be the dazzling bottle - neck playing on Crest of a Wave (my favourite track), slow blues feel on Should've Learned my Lesson or the pulsating crowd pleaser In Your Town, there's something here for all lovers of great guitar playing. Rory, much like Peter Green, had humility and at times you almost think he is going to apologize for playing to the audience. He changes guitars himself, tunes them and plugs them in - can you imagine that happening these days? Arguably, the greatest guitar player on the planet doing these mundane tasks....I mean come on! Never one to 'blow his own trumpet' (although he could blow a mean saxophone!), I'm sure Rory would love to be given the accolade of 'consummate musician' by his audience, after all, music was his life - it's what he lived for and it really shows in his live performances. Superb. Buy it, buy it, buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Annie Haslam - icing on the cake, 23 Nov. 2007
This review is from: A Song For All Seasons (Audio CD)
Comparisons with other bands are really not necessary here. Renaissance were unique and after a number of excellent albums (my favourite being Scheherezade and other stories), 'Song for all Seasons' really drives home what a truly great band they were. Fine compositions, coupled with superb musicianship topped out with Annie Haslam's fabulous voice. This is without doubt a stand-out album that the band were unable to match with later attempts.
