4.0 out of 5 stars It's a great microphone arm with a minor issue., 21 May 2013

This is a really nice microphone arm. The xlr cable attached is really convenient for my microphone and it’s very sturdy.

My only complaint is my unit came with a 3/8 tread connection (the screw for the shock mount etc.) when the page lists a 5/8 connection (the product image shows a 5/8). I didn’t want to go through the rigmarole of sending it back when it was quicker/cheaper to buy a 3/8 female to 5/8 male thread adapter converter which costs about £2.

It’s a complaint but not detrimental enough to tell you to look elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars From the creator of Rave Master comes Fairy Tail!, 19 Mar 2013
Now I bought all 4 parts to this box set at a convention in 2012 and played £44 total. Despite being a booth discount, I still found it pretty pricey but the collection appears to be very good value. I read the ongoing weekly manga by Hiro Mishima and the anime adapts very well from the source material. The big difference between the manga and the anime is the removal of blood but this omission isn't to the anime's detriment.

This honestly is one of my favorite animes off all time; I love the magical world it's set in and it's hilarious yet charming cast of characters.

The box set covers the first 48 episodes of the ongoing anime (...which makes me curious why Wendy and Carla are on the box art, since their first anime appearance is episode #49)

I do wish that they would distribute the blu-ray versions but the dvd quality is just fine.

Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut
Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut

5.0 out of 5 stars an excellent set of tracks however ..., 26 Feb 2013
The star rating is reflective of the quality of the product.

Like the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut expansion is available for no additional charge; I believe you can still download all the tracks featured from the Bioware social network for free.
The additional tracks, like the main soundtrack from the game are excellent. If I had to pick two tracks in particular it is "I will watch over the ones who live on" because it's powerful...almost horrific in its delivery. The other track is "Resolution" because the final part of the piece is a positively tear-jerking rendition of the series theme.

It's been a number of years since I've purchased a new monitor, so I can't really offer much in way of a technically proficient comparison with other monitors. That said I can give a sincere opinion of my experience thus far...

...And that experience thus far has been a very enjoyable one. I mainly use the monitor for graphic based software, console and high performance pc gaming. The visual result is nothing short of spectacular.

I chose an ASUS brand monitor since most the components in my tower are manufactured by them.

This is a great high resolution monitor for those without a lot of disposable income.
A really positive attribute, is the very clean audio from the integrated speakers. I can't really find fault with this monitor without trying really hard to be nitpicky.
I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for a Mass Effect fan, 100% sincere on that, 16 Feb 2012
Disclaimer: I got this book today and read both sections for Mass Effect 1 and 2, though I have looked through the Mass Effect 3 material, I haven't read any text in that section because I awaiting the heavily anticipated conclusion to Commander Sheppard's story.

Mass Effect visual direction borrows from many works but still comes off fresh, if not wholeheartedly original but very few things are. Looking at the concept art for each section, shows Bioware's dedication towards quality as there were many revisions leading up to the final product. It's nice to read about the thought behind many of the things we see in the epic space opera.

Contained is plenty of hand drawn art, CG renders and turn table views of character models. In addition includes many stunning pieces of art, across many areas e.g. environment, character poses etc.

As of this date of review, I am pretty sure most readers, will have not played Mass Effect 3, aside from the E3 demo, Beta Leak and recently released demo, so I do warn that this book in my opinion has a significant amount of spoilers, or reveals at least. Some spoilers may be obvious but with such a story driven series, I'd rather be surprised through playing the game.

To conclude, this is a great book and welcome addition to any Mass Effect fan. The art is so captivating Kasumi Goto probably wouldn't be able resist stealing it, don't get it - buy the book.

Thank you.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's a Duke Nukem game and that..., 24 July 2011
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
...where the problem lies. Despite Duke Nukem 3D having a strong fanbase and being a good shooter for the time, it was (not a bad way) a pointless shooter that had fun quirks like interactive objects, but what made distinct was it's protagonist, Duke and awesome quotes he spouted. Duke Nukem Forever is defiantly a Duke Nukem game but the shooter genre has moved on since then. It has become a generic shooter with Duke Nukem presentation to give it any sense of identity. Sure it's got interactive elements but they are as trivial as ever, the picking up crap and throwing it may merit a cheap chuckle but quickly disappears. In short if your a Duke Nukem fan then buy it, just hope your sense of nostalgia is strong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as good as I read it in 1999, 26 May 2011
The novel contains Naruto Volumes 1-3 and is just as good as I remember reading it for the 1st time. Please note: This novel dimensions Height * Width are the same as the individual volumes, they are not the original printed sizes found in Rurouni Kenshin or any other vizbig volumes, if you have already purchased volumes 1 to 3 , this is hard to recommend but if you haven't , this is good value for money This series is excellent and well worth the reception it's received

Naruto Vol 49
Naruto Vol 49
by Masashi Kishimoto
Edition: Paperback
Price: £5.24

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most anticipated scenarios in Naruto, 24 April 2011
This review is from: Naruto Vol 49 (Paperback)
Masashi Kishimoto world that Naruto's story is told through is huge but until now has left many readers in the dark about many of it's leaders outside of their title's e.g Tsuchikage.

This volume geographically brings the world full circle as we are introduced to the current Kage of the land of Earth and Water also learning that Shinobi are not the only entity of military strength.

The cover art (as well as the art in general) is fantastic with all the Kage waring their hats and if your a follower of the anime , Gaara's hat has been colour corrected to Green.

This like many novels in the series has a good balance between dialog & combat oriented chapters, while retaining it's comedic factor. But if you've read Naruto up till this point ,there is a high probability that it's review proof

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this series, 30 Mar 2011
In this volume things become a lot more dramatic. I'm trying really hard, not to give away, any spoilers.
Sawako being a social outcast because of her looks finally has interaction with other people.
Through misunderstandings, Sawako believes that she is a hindrance and others will suffer as result of being around her, though she is being selfless , like all people , she has a degree of selfishness ,because she doesnt want to return to that life of solitude which most who have been in that position can empathise with. Her problems, demonstrated from the start of the series, is her lack of interaction with people, often has her reading the situation wrong. Because of these circumstances, we get to see character development from supporting female leads Chizuru and Ayane as well as supporting male characters Ryo and Pin who didnt feature much in the 1st book. Finally Kazehaya the male lead in the story demonstrates more of his kindness but this novel is not centric to his character. The other half of the manga-coin is the art, over 40 pages a chapter the artwork is fantastic, the way it's oriented, creates the appropriate atmosphere, to capture the desired emotion

Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits - Game Only (Xbox 360)
Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits - Game Only (Xbox 360)

3.0 out of 5 stars Probably the Game that most milked the franchise and killed Red Octane, 15 Feb 2010
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Guitar Hero Greatest Hits or Smash Hits in the USA, is fun game but poorly implemented. The premise of this game is all the best songs from previous titles of the series (I - Areosmith) are included with Full Band support but the idea falls short of the fact that everyone has different musical preferences. You'll get songs like 'through the fire and flames' by Dragonforce & 'Free Bird' by Lynard skynard which is really taking the iconic tracks from the game but the poor use of exporting tracks and incompatibility with paid for DLC hurts this game. This is game what lead RedOctane on the road to shut down.
