This book is a one giant stereotype, 13 Oct. 2005
There will always be social stereotypes. The "chav" seems to be the latest. As everyone knows already, they are known for their tacky-looking clothes, their "ghetto" speach, and their taste for R&B music.
But as everyone with common sense also knows, stereotypes are wrong, for the simple reason that they judge someone before getting to know them. That's what this book seems to be doing. Human beings are simply too complex to be shoved into a tiny little label.
And might I also add that just because this is "lighthearted", doesn't mean its not offensive. Some of the cruelest predjudices throughout history have been in the form of jokes. I can garantee that if someone wrote a book stereotyping you, the laughter would stop abruptly. Everyone stop being so pathetically shallow...
