5.0 out of 5 stars just as we have come to expect and enjoy from this author, 28 Aug. 2014

With Andrews superb skills as a writer he brings to a conclusion elements from his previous four books which had been left unresolved. Not just a page turning story but an informative and descriptive travelogue as well, just as we have come to expect and enjoy from this author. Where will we be taken next? Can't wait to find out!

4.0 out of 5 stars DI Chambers surfaces in Africa!, 28 Jan. 2013

Another story well told by Andrew Woodward. DI Chambers is now in Uganda with more murders and mysteries to solve. As always Andrews books are incredibly well researched, his familiarity with the country and the flora and fauna to be found there are second to none and make the story so much more interesting. His now familiar cliff hanger ending ensures his fans will be treated to another adventure, but where?

5.0 out of 5 stars The Fire Walker sets a blistering pace., 21 Aug. 2012

DI Chambers, is not long back in the UK from his serial killer hunt in Hong Kong and is soon embroiled in more murder and torture in the sleepy coastal villages of East Fife. Andrew Woodwards second novel, The Fire Walker, is as impeccably researched as his first novel The Water Dragon. He possesses an intimate knowlege of St Andrews and the surrounding area which makes the search for the crazed killer so much more exciting. A wonderful read that leaves you desperate for the final instalment. Can't wait!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good radio but where are the batteries?, 9 April 2012

This radio sounds very good for its size and appears to be very well made. However as part of its appeal was the built in battery charger how stupid is it not to include rechargeable batteries. I had to spend another £14 on a set, no mention of this ridiculous shortcoming in the product description. Shamefull!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great but messy mash., 26 Sept. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Extremely well made and very strong materials are used in the construction of this masher. Mashed potato is perfect and it juices oranges very well too. My only criticism would be it's fiddly to clean but then so is an ordinary masher. On the whole, a really good purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Water Dragon, 15 May 2011

I really enjoyed this book. It settings and customs were very well researched and painted a wonderful picture of Hong Kong. More importantly the story of murderer and detective kept me involved right to the end. Is this the beginning of a series? I shall definitely be looking out for more from this author.
