3.0 out of 5 stars OK for minimal duty work., 25 Nov 2009
Just like another reviewer, the first one of these I ordered arrived with a shattered foot. To Amazon's credit they replaced it with no fuss and I received a second one in the post.

Over the past year it has been used during my work as a sound engineer, and while it has been taken in and out out of a host of vans/trucks and vehicles it has never been particularly roughly handled or treated but has shown several signs of poor construction.

One of the catches that holds the levels together snapped off fairly early on (again credit this time to Stanley who replaced it with no bother), the catch that holds the bottom tool bin snapped off and the little lock that holds the extending handle in place also broke. More recently the bottom tool bin has now warped and needs a firm whack to close into place.

I can't say all bad but, because when the box did work it has been good to use.

If you intend it to just sit in your garage and hold some tools then it may be a worthwhile purchase, but for any serious workman who needs to transport it or use it in any realistic work site then something more hard wearing is needed unfortunately.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE professional DJ headphones, 26 Oct 2008
There are many brands of headphones out there that are designed for DJ use, and many of them are from well respected names in the DJ world such as Technics and Pioneer.

Ignore them all.

After starting off on the slightly cheaper HD-25 SP versions way back when (same sound and cup design, but different headband) i am now on my second pair of HD 25s and so far have never found any other pair that I would replace them with.

These are THE headphones that professional DJ's use. The sound quality is second to none, the isolation is good for inside noisy clubs and the cups are a little smaller than other brands which makes them much more comfortable to wear.

If you look at pictures of any of the "big name" DJs playing live, be it in Ibiza or London or New York, (and barring the few that have sponsorship deals and get paid for wearing/advertising certian brands) these will be the headphones that you will always see.
