How to make ISO 9001 easier to implement, 22 Nov 2012
"ISO 9001:2008 for Small Businesses" is a remarkable find for a small business that needs help in understanding the fundamentals of quality management and how to achieve certification to ISO 9001 in a cost and time effective way. I found that the book enabled my business to reap the benefits of ISO 9001 certification with minimum effort and paperwork, and without the need for expensive consultancy or lengthy training.
The book showed me how to look at the systems that were used in my business and helped me to make my staff more efficient. It also made the staff more aware of the work and systems that were in use in the different departments of my business.
The book included an example of a complete, generic, Quality Management System (QMS) consisting of a Quality Manual plus a whole host of Quality Processes, Quality Procedures and Work Instructions. I used this as the basis for the QMS for my business and the ISO 9001 certification that my business needed.
