The Organized Mind: Thinking Straight in the Age of Information Overload
The Organized Mind: Thinking Straight in the Age of Information Overload

5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful, insightful, stimulating, 22 Aug 2014
First of all-I love Levitin's work. Chanced across him when I was reading up on NLP. I have to say he deserves the praise and success he receives. So I started off a little biased in his favour...

This book does not disappoint. He has an expertise that delves to the core of everyday life challenges. His suggestions are excellent. I felt more capable by just reading it.

Strongly recommended.

My other pick of the moment - and it's the utter flipside - Sherlock Holmes and the Flying Zombie Death Monkeys. An utter joy, great use of the Holmes character & canon.

Intensely funny, a real winner.

The artwork is brilliant, the stories are superb and these are really funny stories. So glad I bought this. I've read it quite a few times and lent it to a few friends, who also think it's excellent.

For like minded humour try Sherlock Holmes and the Flying Zombie Death Monkeys. Quirky hilarious and brilliant.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful game facts to tap, 19 Aug 2014
Pub quiz info in a simple volume, easy to throw at some nit picking geek who reckons my team is wrong.

Minus one star for not being more aerodynamic.

Most of the info seems accurate.

If you want more awesome, try Sherlock Holmes and the Flying Zombie Death Monkeys. Stunning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hits the spot, 7 Aug 2014
This review is based on noises made by my niece while reading it.

'I'm going to read more of this so we won't need a film.'

'I can't go out because I'm reading.'

'I will need crisps if I'm going to read more of this.'

She's thoroughly enjoying it.

Me, I'm loving the hell out of my summer read. Sherlock Holmes and the Flying Zombie Death Monkeys. Wowzers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Methinks it ended well, 29 July 2014
Forsooth, now this trilogy is end'd
And the stormtroopers are but nought.
My Lord Vader hath redeemeth his ways
While vile Palatine, in sneering and electrified state,
Has plungethed to unlamented end.
Meantimes Han shags Leia.

Excellent stuff.

Also try Sherlock Holmes and the Flying Zombie Death Monkeys. Superb.

A fantastic cd. One of the best in all of metal and some utterly banging songs. Incredible, right up there with the best.

4.0 out of 5 stars My life needs these songs in it, 28 July 2014
Brilliant. A life of understanding here. Some very worldly songs and they're performed well.

EC's covers vary a lot. These aren't his best. This is no From The Cradle and certainly there isn't another Little Wing. There is a particular brand of greatness going on here, even if there seems like no tour in sight. Such is life and Cale's songs are geared around disappointment.

Even better, for a good laugh try the inspiredSherlock Holmes and the Flying Zombie Death Monkeys. Sublime and fine.

The first Blandings novel, perhaps not the best but a delight nonetheless. Go Beach!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent as usual, 19 July 2014
A wonderful little treat. Like all Julia Donaldson's books the wordplay is beautifully judged, with illustrations that compliment and amuse. The artwork is superb, as might be expected.

A very enjoyable addition to our little shelf of her books.

Or in the mood for something different?

Be instantly and happily invigorated by the humour in Sherlock Holmes and the Flying Zombie Death Monkeys.

Fervent amusement immediately and a shining example of parodic art at its best.
