5.0 out of 5 stars Where it all began, 21 Oct 2006

Its hard to believe the band that composed Lateralus wrote this isnt it?!

This is mostly an intelligent old skool metal album, but with a unique Tool twist. The live recordings are amazing quality.

This is an angry, angst ridden EP, and well worth the money, even if its only 6 songs. It is an awesome foundation for things to come.

And it contains songs that rank among Tools very best: Cold and Ugly, Hush

5.0 out of 5 stars Metal Classic, 15 Sep 2006
This review is from: Slaughter Of The Soul (Audio CD)
This is the album that spawned melodic death metal and is probz the most influential metal album of the last decade.

In my opinion rivals even Reignin Blood and Master of Puppets.

Think of it as a mix between the two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reaally good but hard to get into, 20 July 2006
Im writing this review for the benefit of newcomers to TOOL. First things first; its really hard to get into this band. I'd recomend you start with 10000 Days or Lateralus before this. Not to say that they are better, just more accessible (in my opinion).

If ure into bands like Opeth, chances are u'll get into this quite readily. If you're one of those RHCP fans who believe that they are the greatest band in the world (ever to exist) then enjoying TOOL will take more effort. But trust me, its worth it. Just give Aenima a few listens, and in the end u'll realize how amazing TOOl really are.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mindnumbingly Brilliant, 5 Jun 2006
This review is from: Lateralus (Audio CD)
The review below has pretty much summed up the album, but just in case the point wasnt made; Lateralus is an awesome album. When I first heard Tool i thought it was boring, but because im open minded I thought id give Lateralus a try. And its genius.

This comes from a person who likes everything from Bob Marley to Arch Enemy, from Public Enemy to Sigur Ros.

And in a modern musical era filled with garbage, Tool's Lateralus stands out as one of the best albums from one of the greatest and most orignal bands of our times.

5.0 out of 5 stars As good as Lateralus And Aenima, 25 May 2006
This review is from: 10,000 Days (Audio CD)
After you read all the reviews saying that 10000 days is no where near as good as TOOL's previous albums, read this.

10000 Days is amazing, and is a direct progression of Lateralus. It is a much more 'rocky' album than its predecesor, yet still maintains the epic feel. This is truly a mindblowing album, yet takes time to get into.

All you 'Toolies' who give this a listen then criticize, spare me.

Buy this album, you will not be disapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 19 Mar 2006
This is the Lordi album most known in England. It is in fact a comp of thei best songs.
This is a GREAT album. Past the scary masks lie a band with a great talent for writing catchy hard rock.
Excellent music for anyone...some prog-rockers may not like the lack of 10/8 and 7/8 riffs on this album.
Some death ppl may not like the fact they r NOT melodic death metal.
In the end who doesnt like a good catchy collection of songs
BUY THIS

5.0 out of 5 stars Just listen to it, 16 Mar 2006

This is a strange album for someone who is normally into straight out 4/4 timing groups.
I liked this when i first listened..but now I realize its brilliant.
This is an awesome album that really does grow on you.
Download The Grudge or Schism for an intro to the band..it is GOOD!
