Buzzing with The Bees, 22 April 2012
The theme of bees which runs throughout the book is conceptually interesting and imaginative. The poems as ever are evocative as well as thoughtful and contemporary. As with Rapture, one of the previous books there are poems about relationships which we can easily relate to such as Echo,Rings and Cold. Some of the poems make reference to history or myth such as Achilles, John Barleycorn and Cockermouth and Workington. The variety of poems in the book make for an enjoyable read with poems to suit different moods and feelings. Well worth buying, catch the buzz and give it a look.
