Discovering the Lead Codices: The Book of Seven Seals and the Secret Teachings of Jesus
Discovering the Lead Codices: The Book of Seven Seals and the Secret Teachings of Jesus
by David Elkington
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £18.95

5.0 out of 5 stars A very enjoyable read., 19 Jun 2014
For an academic text, this book presents a very enjoyable read.

The metal report is very technical, but fascinating and thoroughly convincing in its analysis. It is such a shame that there have been so many people with vested interests trying to stop this information from coming out. Anyone with any interest in the field of antiquities should read this book - really shocking expose of the dodgy dealings that go on!

The essay by Dr Barker provides the historical detail and context that so many have been waiting for.

Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Full of flavour...and alcohol, 6 Jun 2014
This is a great tasting beer. Full of hops and flavour - all most citrus. Fantastic in the summer sun but at 7% can put a serious dent in any afternoon activities!

5.0 out of 5 stars Revenge is mine..., 17 Jan 2014
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
After a holiday with my brother and his 3 lads and being constantly harangued by them and their single shot nerf guns, I decided two can play at this game. So with a bit of research I decided on this little beauty - 6 shots, 3 nephews...
Let the slaughter of the 'not quite so innocent as they seem' begin....

Fully recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little beard trimmer, 3 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is my first forage into the world of beard trimming and I was a little unsure of what to look for and so after reading other countless informative reviews, I settled on this one by Philips.

I have got to say that it was money well spent!

Very easy to use - up and running within 10 minutes of opening the box; yes, the trimmer was already fully charged. I even timidly tried the nostril\ear trimmer which actually worked fine without pulling out any hairs!

Comes with everything I'll need it for, though the stand it comes with is flimsy plastic (hence the 4 stars).
Recommend it for the price.

What a rip off this price tag is, esepcially when you can buy the same thing at wickes for £20.

3.0 out of 5 stars Got lost in the plot, 18 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Full of great ideas and seems to be full of promise, just poorly laid out. I have read some very convoluted stories in my time but this one is really disjointed. From the begining I couldn't understand what was really going on - even read it twice to try and fully understand.
The individual bits, scenes\chapters, are very well written and nicely executed; it is just the linking of them all together that is poor. Jarring.
I think it could be a great novel, just hope the sequels are better laid out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Keeps next doors cat at bay, 14 Feb 2013
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this because next doors cat kept coming in though our cat flap and eating our cats food. After introducing the aforementioned beast to this water pistol - never been a problem since!

Very durable and it has very few moving parts - no trigger which often jams after prolonged use in other models. Good longish range.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cord book, 14 Feb 2013
This is a great little cord book which, unlike other books, not only shows 4 main positions of any given cord (up to 10 different variations with some), but also shows which cords are best likely to go with that particular cord. It uses both good clear photographs as well as the every popular fret tab. Even comes with a CD so you can practise some of the cords and try out a few solos.

Extremely good book and recommend as a bible for beginners and good reference for the more experienced.

Offered by BiggerJugs
Price: £10.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple and effective, 28 Jan 2013
This is by far the better of all the injectors on this site. The plastice ones just break or threads strip - don't even bother with them.

OK, in days gone by, this injector would have been a solid brass piece of kit - not quite the same as the light mass produced stuff today. But then again you get what you pay for.

It does it's job very well.

Zero Point (Owner Trilogy 2)
Zero Point (Owner Trilogy 2)
by Neal Asher
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars Good follow up, 10 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a good sequel to Owner Trilogy. Fast paced as Neal Asher is. The storyline is good with some nice dovetails in the separate storylines.
I just can't help thinking that when publishers insist on these 'trilogy' formats that you actually loose some of the integrity of the plot as they inevitably get padded out. Will wait and see with this one and I hope I'm proved wrong.
