4.0 out of 5 stars Occasionally drops off my violin as it's easy to misalign the grips, 4 Aug 2014
Took a bit of getting used to, but wouldn't be without it now - lots of adjustments possible. Occasionally drops off my violin as it's easy to misalign the grips.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great night's sleep - good for camping too, 4 Aug 2014
This is a lovely mattress topper. Like sleeping on a very supportive marshmallow :-) Takes all the pressure off your aching joints. Doesn't seem to smell at all either - and I'm pretty sensitive to smelly stuff so I'd be the first to complain if it did. I've actually been using it as a camping matt in place of an air mattress; it's just so much better than an air bed because you don't roll off it or stick to it. It can be cut down to size if necessary to fit a tent or van/caravan. It really is perfect for car camping when weight/space isn't an issue - and provides a cheap alternative to purpose-made varieties, comparable in price to a good quality air bed. Can be rolled or folded for travel - and used to sit on during the day when not being used as a bed. I know this isn't the main purpose of these mattresses, but they work very well in this way. Spot on!

Making an Angel: Antony Gormley
Making an Angel: Antony Gormley
by Iain Sinclair
Edition: Paperback
Price: £16.20

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous book, 9 Dec 2013
This is a fantastic book. Amongst many other things, it describes, in simple language, exactly how the Angel of the North was designed, funded and constructed. It covers significant technical detail using clear, understandable explanations and plans. Prepare for a few surprises! Well worth a read - and an especially useful resource for any artist considering the development of site-specific art work of any scale.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb resource for students of ceramic art, 23 Sep 2008
This book has it all: design principles, 'making' techniques and inspiration in bucket loads. It encourages careful thought and a very practical approach to planning and design, whilst not for one minute forgetting that ceramic art's greatest attraction is in the fun of getting your hands on clay and making, making, making! Lovely photos, and a lots of ideas for making your own ideas come to life. Great for anyone who is pursuing a ceramics qualification as it explains all the stuff you need to know about primary and secondary sources and how to develop mood boards, sketch books, etc. Inspirational and helpfully practical. A lovely book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring!, 15 Dec 2006
An excellent record of a very independent journey through some of the most exciting and varied landscapes that New Zealand has to offer. Written in a straight-forward, very readable style - full of humour, but also packed with facts about New Zealand's history, ecology and culture. I found it hard to put down. An inspiring story which makes you want to just get out there and live life! Great photos too.

3.0 out of 5 stars A little disappointed..., 1 Dec 2006
... due to the lack of WPA support. Should have checked for this, of course. Have to downgrade wireless LAN to WEP to support wireless printing. Yes, can connect with cables, but bought 'wireless' print server to avoid that. Annoying. Wish that suppliers would state "doesn't support WPA".
