1.0 out of 5 stars Total failures - keep warm but burning the money, its more effective, 12 Dec 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought two of these 10 months ago both have now failed.

After 6 months - I put it down to the batteries

Now one just shows a blank screen until you move the control knob then it starts (automatic?)
The other appears to only operate in manual
Both don't turn off the heat at the set times - even if they are making noises of the valve closing.

Fit the old valve - the rads turn off without problems

Cannot find out if Honeywell offer a guarantee or even how to access it if they do

If this had failed from a shop you would have expected to return it or they give you the return address - no help from Amazon

CASEPRADISE Soft Gel Tpu Silicone Etui Slim Back Case Cover For Samsung Galaxy GC200 Camera Bag EK-GC 200 Black

4.0 out of 5 stars Very fit for purpose, 26 Sep 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Well finished and fits quite well given that the camera does not really suit this type of case with its large screen.

The on/off and flash buttons work but only with a very firm press (with a finger nail) so I will probably trim out the plastic so I can just use my fingers this is why 4 stars not 5.

Note - this is not a "drop protection" but it will stop minor scratches and wear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Potential solution for weak 4G signal, 26 Sep 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was using an Alcatel Y900 which struggled to get 1 bar on 4G bought a Huawei E5372 and got 4 bars on 4G with a speed of 16 to 20 Mb/s.

Added this LTE antenna, pulled up the 4G signal map and pointed it at the centre of the good coverage (no idea where the tower is but it must be in there somewhere)

Now its 34 Mb/s consistently.

Note - you do need to aim the antenna, just sticking on a window is not enough - also don't aim through a building

5.0 out of 5 stars 4Mb/s to 16Mb/s 4G without hassle - 34 Mb/s with antenna, 26 Sep 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was using an Alcatel Y900 which struggled to get 1 bar on 4G and best speed 4 Mb/s but had a wifi across all of the flat.

Bought this, put in the EE card, set itself up and then gave 4 bars on 4G with a speed of 16 to 20 Mb/s.

Added a LTE antenna, pulled up the 4G signal map and pointed it at the centre of the good coverage (no idea where the tower is but it must be there somewhere) 34 Mb/s consistently.

Wifi is not strong however so will get a repeater to boost the signal and connect to the freesat box to give me catch-up TV

Would have liked a black unit but.....

2.0 out of 5 stars Care Sharp Edges, 30 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought two of these for a holiday - cases looked good and took loads but oh dear!

Initially I noted scratch marks on a polished wooden hotel floor when I moved a nearly empty case (so did the hotel ££) but rubbing my hand over the cases showed no sharp edges.

I then noted a new scratch in the polish on a luggage stand (next hotel) when I moved the cases again - no cost here "that's what the stand is for sir".

Got home and noticed a scratch on the leather seat of my car where the cases had been (we were late for the plane and did not pay a lot of attention to the car) - estimated repair £150

The bags had come out of the box, onto a bed, been carried by myself directly into the car so the sharp edge was present on the "as delivered" item(s) not due to travelling damage.

Despite a lot of inspection I cannot find the offending part of the case that causes the problem and have had to sent them both back - a pity because they both functioned well (hence two stars not one)

3.0 out of 5 stars What is it for?, 29 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have Eco 7 so when I bought the OWL CM160 I bought this to monitor the Eco 7 part of the power use.

The manuals talk about 3 phase monitoring but not Eco 7 so you have to "wing it"

I'm still not certain that I'm measuring anything or that I can see any result in the data - the total lack of instructions just leave you in limbo.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Hardware - Poor Software, 29 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I used to be the global energy manager for one of the countries biggest corporations and there is a key rule in energy management; "if you cannot measure it, you cannot control it"

This monitor it works well as a measurement tool and thus getting control of your energy use; all of its stars come from that.

It would get 5 but the setup and PC interface is really poor and contains fundamental errors.

Setting it up uses a retrograde 1980's "tab through" system without clear guidance - it's not very intuative and you do have to read the manual and follow each step.

The PC software is just about the worst I've seen, not clearly explained, and I've still to produce 1 functional chart after 4 hours of reading. What is annoying is that there is no system to use the clear interfaces on the PC to set up the unit.

However exporting to CSV and into Excel is simple and then you see the dumbest of errors - incorrect units assigned to the data sets. (watts/minute described as kW etc.)

A few minutes with Excel get you the charts, you need to understand and manage your energy, the software should have given you and you can see where the energy is going

In short - OWL needs to spend some time getting its data into an understandable form and easily setting up the unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite a Suprise, 19 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
At less than £20 inc fast delivery I did not hold out any great hopes.

Its actually a good bit of kit, sprays high build primer well (about 5% extra thinner needed) as well as 2K to a reasonable gloss finish.

Really easy to clean and the lid is a good seal, stops that problem with gravity guns spilling onto the job.

AND it does not over tax my small 7cfm compressor but clearly needs a 14cfm unit

1.0 out of 5 stars Could have been a winner, 9 Mar 2013
The hardware looks good if you can get it set up!

Would advise against purchase if you intend to use the wireless function - I have now spent over 16 hours trying to get two PC's to work. Epsons support is really bad they don't even have the correct details for the printer e.g their web page and their support staff state "use the LCD" but there is no LCD.

The quality of the installation software is the most apalling I have ever seen - locked the laptop solid so I had to take the batteries out!

Its going back to the seller (Tesco) tomorrow - will look at Canon
