2.0 out of 5 stars Care Sharp Edges, 30 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought two of these for a holiday - cases looked good and took loads but oh dear!

Initially I noted scratch marks on a polished wooden hotel floor when I moved a nearly empty case (so did the hotel ££) but rubbing my hand over the cases showed no sharp edges.

I then noted a new scratch in the polish on a luggage stand (next hotel) when I moved the cases again - no cost here "that's what the stand is for sir".

Got home and noticed a scratch on the leather seat of my car where the cases had been (we were late for the plane and did not pay a lot of attention to the car) - estimated repair £150

The bags had come out of the box, onto a bed, been carried by myself directly into the car so the sharp edge was present on the "as delivered" item(s) not due to travelling damage.

Despite a lot of inspection I cannot find the offending part of the case that causes the problem and have had to sent them both back - a pity because they both functioned well (hence two stars not one)

I have Eco 7 so when I bought the OWL CM160 I bought this to monitor the Eco 7 part of the power use.

The manuals talk about 3 phase monitoring but not Eco 7 so you have to "wing it"

I'm still not certain that I'm measuring anything or that I can see any result in the data - the total lack of instructions just leave you in limbo.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Hardware - Poor Software, 29 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I used to be the global energy manager for one of the countries biggest corporations and there is a key rule in energy management; "if you cannot measure it, you cannot control it"

This monitor it works well as a measurement tool and thus getting control of your energy use; all of its stars come from that.

It would get 5 but the setup and PC interface is really poor and contains fundamental errors.

Setting it up uses a retrograde 1980's "tab through" system without clear guidance - it's not very intuative and you do have to read the manual and follow each step.

The PC software is just about the worst I've seen, not clearly explained, and I've still to produce 1 functional chart after 4 hours of reading. What is annoying is that there is no system to use the clear interfaces on the PC to set up the unit.

However exporting to CSV and into Excel is simple and then you see the dumbest of errors - incorrect units assigned to the data sets. (watts/minute described as kW etc.)

A few minutes with Excel get you the charts, you need to understand and manage your energy, the software should have given you and you can see where the energy is going

In short - OWL needs to spend some time getting its data into an understandable form and easily setting up the unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite a Suprise, 19 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
At less than £20 inc fast delivery I did not hold out any great hopes.

Its actually a good bit of kit, sprays high build primer well (about 5% extra thinner needed) as well as 2K to a reasonable gloss finish.

Really easy to clean and the lid is a good seal, stops that problem with gravity guns spilling onto the job.

AND it does not over tax my small 7cfm compressor but clearly needs a 14cfm unit

1.0 out of 5 stars Could have been a winner, 9 Mar 2013
The hardware looks good if you can get it set up!

Would advise against purchase if you intend to use the wireless function - I have now spent over 16 hours trying to get two PC's to work. Epsons support is really bad they don't even have the correct details for the printer e.g their web page and their support staff state "use the LCD" but there is no LCD.

The quality of the installation software is the most apalling I have ever seen - locked the laptop solid so I had to take the batteries out!

Its going back to the seller (Tesco) tomorrow - will look at Canon

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality, 11 Jan 2013
The manufacturing quality of this item is simply appalling.
Mine arrived with a 0.5mm plastic edge, looking like a cheap plastic toy in a Christmas cracker, razor sharp and I could not decide if it was a super protective film or part of the item.
I tried to contact 3Bays but could not find any functioning web page, forum or customer support.
After taking advice, from an organisation who cannot be named, I pulled of the film and it took the decorative surface off the item - it now looks like its done 100 rounds of the open!
I returned the item and got a refund.
Save yourselves a lot of time don't bother with these units

IVSO® Google Nexus 7 Tablet Slim-Fit Folio Cover Case With Multi-Angle Stand & Automatic Sleep/Wake Function (Black)

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought This & Would Recommend It, 14 Sep 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought one of these a few weeks ago and was very pleased with the build quality. It's got a smooth felt type of interior lining that gives you the feel that you are not going to see rub marks from the case. The shell is firm (feels like a stiff plastic sheet inner) that I expect will protect front/back well but the edges are a little exposed. The outer is a good leather like material which looks expensive but understated.

The grips hold the Nexus firmly and the strap that you can slide your hand into to hold the whole lot easily is a good idea - I found you don't really need to hold on hard if your Nexus is vertical! The second strap stops the whole lot opening (you can see the dark line on the picture) but I don't find I need it.

Only comment is the pen holder (if that is what it is) is undersized and in the wrong place - would have been better on the covered spine area to stop a pen rubbing on the Nexus's edge.

If like me you want a bit of quality, good design & build and something that you would "plonk" on the boardroom table but not pay the earth - get this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Design, 25 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought one of these thought it would be as good as the S1 dock.

Ohh Dear it is a design disaster.

When mounted on the dash the phone cannot be adjusted to the point you can see it from the seat its facing the roof!

When mounted on the screen (as in the picture) the sucker is just under the rear view mirror = no forward view = 3 points and a heavy fine

Adjustment - minimal

Unfortunately there is nothing mechanically wrong so I cannot return it (& the dog got the box!)

If you drive something with a flat surface at wheel top height its probably OK I drive a SAAB, tested it in Subaru, BMW, Merc all fails.
